Guitar effects processing via send/bus is not sounding the same as when I use the same effects as inserts

Hello! I double tracked the guitar parts for a song I am working on, so I have 2 guitar tracks - one is hard-panned left and one is hard-panned right. Currently, I have all effects as inserts on each individual guitar track. I want the effects applied to each guitar track to be identical, so I want to process all of the effects via a bus. If I understand correctly, this should allow me to bus both tracks to a single aux channel and make adjustments in the aux channel to both guitars' sounds simultaneously (instead of changing something on L Guitar, then copy/pasting the setting to the same insert on R Guitar). However, when I listen to one of the tracks where the effects are all inserted and compare it to a copy of that track when I process it via bus, they don't sound identical.

My effects chain (as shown in the first picture in the below link) is:
Melodyne --> Noise gate --> Amp sim --> EQ --> Another EQ --> Compressor

To try to execute the same processing via send, in the guitar track, I turned off everything after Melodyne (as shown in second pic in the link), and I inserted all effects from Gate to Compressor into the aux channel (3rd pic). However, when I compare the track where I processed everything with inserts (in series), it sounds different than when I processed everything via bussing (parallel). This is the case whether I set the output of the guitar track to "No Out", directly to the bus, or keep it going to Stereo Out. It also doesn't help if I change post pan/post fader/pre fader, and I confirmed the settings for all effects in the aux channel are identical to as they are when inserted to the guitar track.

Thank you so much to anyone that can help me!!
