With all the hype around all the new Muse songs being dropped, I’ve taken another deep dive through the entire discography. As we know, there are tracks that sound a lot Muse-y-er than others. That made me curious what everyone’s favorite Muse song is that doesn’t sound like traditional “Muse”?

Liquid State on The 2nd Law is my answer. Obviously having Chris on the mic decreases the Muse-ness inherently. But I also feel like the song writing really is a departure from the formula (also due to Chris primarily being the writer). Honestly I would absolutely soak up an entire album of music written and sung by Chris.
