I have focal, generalized, and function seizures for reference.
When my focal seizures start, the first movement-based symptom I get is that my stomach/abdomen starts twitching very fast. Does anyone else get this? Not sure if this is common.

A few weeks ago, I started taking valproic acid for my seizures. I’ve been getting headaches off and on since then, and I’m curious if any of you on this med have gotten headaches too.
I know it’s a common side effect for many meds but I’m just wondering.
I have been absolutely losing my mind in the past few days. I am getting 24/7 flashing lights in the right side of my vision. That’s been true for over a year but it is so bad recently I feel depressed and wanting it all to be over so I don’t have to feel this anymore.
Nobody in my life understands these feelings.

A couple weeks ago I broke up with my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend, I guess). We were together since August of last year.
I was feeling overwhelmed. I have epilepsy and a TBI and pretty bad anxiety. I felt like I didn’t have the energy to be in a relationship. She thought at first that she had done something wrong and I’ve reassured her that she hasn’t. I think she understands by now but she gets easily worried that she’s messed things up.
She was always very understanding in general but I still felt like I needed to end the relationship. Have any of you had an experience like this?
