Anyone hospitalised with HG without severe vomiting?

Hi all - I posted a few weeks ago in the pregnancy subreddit about having severe nausea without much vomiting. Today when I went into the GP, I explained I was still feeling similar. This GP did a PUQE test which had me land as a ‘severe’ case of pregnancy related sickness.

My GP wanted me to go into hospital - but I asked if there was anything else we could try first because I don’t think I’m dehydrated but I just have really awful nausea and it’s making me dry heave a lot. I vomit maybe 1-2 times a day.

Has anyone else been in this situation? What actually happened in the hospital if you weren’t dehydrated?

I’ve been prescribed Xonvea today so I’m hoping this is going to make the difference as all other medication hasn’t touched this yet.

Scar tearing after ultrasound scan for second pregnancy 2.5 years after c-section. Is this normal?!

Hi all. I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant expecting my second baby. My first was born in April 2024 by c-section.

Yesterday I had my first ultrasound scan for this pregnancy. Baby wasn’t in a particularly helpful position for checking fluid behind the neck so my sonographer was having to move me around a lot applying lots of pressure in certain places to try and take the measurement.

It was very uncomfortable at times, and they didn’t use much gel, their bottle was running low and for some reason didn’t think to open a new one. So at times the friction between my skin and the probe felt horrendous.

I’ve woken up this morning and other than feeling incredibly tender (normal from previous scans for me) I have also noticed that overnight one end of my scar from my previous c-section has split and has been bleeding overnight.

Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do in this situation? It’s the weekend so I’m thinking I’ll take a picture, keep it clean then contact my community midwife on Monday and raise it with her? Or if this is quite normal I’ll just shut up and put up haha.
