My mad eyes against b4u

A while back I went against three b4u members. All three had 80% wr. I believe like they were lowkey trolling a little because they were not playing very well.

That aside, I marked it as a milestone moment for me. No hate to them of course, but I have this sneaking suspicion that if they went against a mad eyes in tourney like Dreams, they’d really struggle.

I want to use this as a way to spread mad eyes propaganda, this is why everyone should play mad eyes

How to get started on mad eyes

How to get started on mad eyes

I want to specify that you’ll need a strong willed mindset and the will to grind.

Doesn’t matter if you can only practice for 5 minutes a day, that’s more than enough.

  1. Don’t watch pro gameplay and try to copy it. Just don’t. They have years of experience and what you’ll take away from them won’t be applicable unless you master your basics

  2. Console defense/switching/mechanical mastery. You want to be able to, at about a decent consistency and decent speed, click on a console and exit out, click on a different one, so on so forth. This requires a decent amount of practice. But you won’t lose that muscle memory once you get it.

  3. If you’re a beginner, don’t even bother trying to learn the maps, just play games and learn the map orientation normally, regular kiting routes, where key landmarks are, etc.

  4. Don’t develop these early bad habits. Don’t neglect your consoles. Beginners love forgetting about his console and just straight up never use his kit for the whole match. I recommended checking the console map when you’re not actively doing anything, like if you’re camping chairs, you have someone downed, or there is someone harassing you.

  5. Please for the love of Buddha, remember to block ciphers. That’s the reason why Burke is even decent in rank. Beginners just never think about ciphers blocking and get cipher rushed to oblivion.

  6. Hop into practice mode, and experiment with his walls. See what you can do with it, what angles you can find and how you can manipulate it. Trust me, self discovery here is much more helpful than rote memorization.

There’s so much more but feel free to ask here if you need specific advice otherwise good luck to anyone who even wants to begin their mad eyes.

Mad Eyes is not bottom tier(Essay)

Before I rant, I want to clarify my credentials

I’m an S badge and current S badge mad eyes, I’ve created a guide on mad eyes( a google doc) and I’ve contributed to finding new things on him. I’ve been a part of the mad eyes community (the discord) and have gotten lots of feedback from the too mad eyes players as well as studied a lot of mad eyes resources.

I’ve seen a lot of tier lists as well as general opinion on Burke being a bottom tier hunter. In the past, I would’ve agreed as at first glance, he really does seem to be weak, with his bad chase stats and general easy counterplay.

But as I’ve experienced him and learned his kit I realized just how intricate he really is. I think people let to get caught up on his chase stats and overall complex looking kit as well as the fact that he has “easy counterplay” which is just hacking his console.

And honestly I somewhat agree. However people, these YouTubers, and the community seem to hard tunnel vision on this. When studying mad eyes, you’re not really learning his kit, but rather the map(s) itself. Burke creates walls and these walls can be used to zone, trap, or kill loops. Block objectives, create better positioning, and also lock off map areas to buy time.

One notorious map of his is Eversleeping. I’m sure some people have fought against this crazy eyes on this map and been somewhat frustrated. One thing to take into account is how many one ways eversleeping has. This means alleyways or corridor parts that take only one wall to block off and completely zone off. But he also has his worst maps. There is darkwoods and Leo’s, where winning as him is essentially impossible if the survivors don’t mess up.

And speaking of bad chase, he really doesn’t. Sure there are some loops that kill him but if you properly learn his chase walls and application then he becomes quite the menace. Though that’s probably the true meat if this bottom tier issue.

Mad eyes takes time. He takes so much time to master. Even I, who dedicated 7 months to mastering him have barely scratched the surface. One thing is that game sense is so important for him. I started in late December and now it’s August. I’ve only been playing idv for 8 months. That’s why I lose some of my games. I simply lack the awareness of survivor positioning and complex rotation knowledge sometimes and so I lose track of the game. But even then, I find him to be so fun and very interactive from the hunter side. The survivor mains probably don’t.

One last thing, A proper mad eyes counterplay requires coordinated teamwork. And by that I mean like a three stack upwards on comms, and even then fatigue will build if it’s against a good mad eyes.

So in terms of potential, he is a solid B+ to low A tier hunter.
However in tournament he’s probably a low B to C tier hunter. A D tier if the survivors have studied proper mad eyes counterplay and practiced countless times against him.

Any tips on learning how to write French?

So regents exam for French is around the corner and I am still arguably terrible at French. Do you guys have any tips on learning vocabulary and anything, any words or phrases I should take note of? Thanks
