I found out that dogs cant be pets unless they are working or service dogs. However, Islam says the cats can be pets and even allowed in Mosques. What makes cats different?

I am not any religion currently but I am curious to see from a Christian perspective why they think it's true? There are a lot of religions and one of them must be true.
