The other night I decided to season my Tramontina Ember pan on my grill. While I planned on an hour I got distracted and forgot about it for several hours. Temp of the grill was about 500 degrees when i turned the gas off. It went from black to various shades of blue. The photos show the contrast between a normal and the new blued pan. The rivets are also a bronze in color.
Today I went to switch on the disposal and it wouldn’t turn on. I first did a power cycle which didn’t work. I then checked the breaker which wasn’t tripped but I reset it, as well. That didn’t work. I plugged in a fan and the top outlet, which the disposal is plugged into, didn’t provide power to the fan. The bottom outlet did provide power.
I plugged in a receptacle tester into the bottom receptacle and the two amber lights lit up as correct. The top receptacle dimly flashes the two amber lights. I swapped the outlet for a new with the same results. The disposal is less than a year old and the outlet has worked for the 20 years I’ve been in the house.
What is causing the power issue for the top receptacle?
