For those who’ve worked in both the US/Europe and Japan, what differences stood out the most?

I’ve been working at Japanese IT companies for a while, and it’s made me curious about how work culture compares with the US and Europe.

For those who’ve worked in both, what differences stood out the most? I’m especially interested in management style, as it’s one area I’ve found challenging, but I’d also love to hear about communication, decision-making, work-life balance, meetings, and hierarchy.

I’m happy to hear experiences from any industry, not just IT. What did you find better or worse, and what surprised you the most?

I’m starting to enjoy finding jump spots.

Today, after I accidentally jumped onto the roof in Goldshire, it suddenly became really fun to look around and see what else I can jump onto.

Finding invisible jump paths is very interesting. It’s become a little game inside the game for me, although I’ve only been on top of the fountain in Stormwind once so far lol.

I was wondering if there are any other unexpected ways to enjoy the game that some of you are doing.

Experienced mages: how did you get better at kiting?

I’m currently leveling a level 13 mage in Westfall and have been having a lot of fun practicing kiting.

Right now I'm mostly focusing on single-target kiting. My usual loop is Frostbolt (or Fireball to pull), then Frostbolt while creating distance. If a mob gets too close, I'll occasionally use Frost Nova.

So far, the biggest improvements have come from forcing myself to kite whenever possible, regardless of mob difficulty, and paying attention to things like movement timing, camera control, and figuring out the fastest way to move, turn, and reposition.

Do you have any other kiting drills, practice methods, or habits that helped you improve?
One more question: are there any special kiting techniques for faster mobs and ranged enemies?
