Hokkaido July Travel Experiences
Hi everyone!
I’m doing my first trip to Japan, to Hokkaido this July end (10 nights) as a solo female traveller. Planning to stay in Sapporo, Otaru, Niseko and Noboribetsu.
A few questions:
How difficult is it travelling in this region without a car? I’ll be relying entirely on trains and buses.
Are there any good hikes, shrines, forest trails to not miss in this region?
Besides the Pokémon Center in Sapporo, are there any Hokkaido-exclusive Pokémon spots, merchandise, Poké Lids, or hidden things worth checking out?
Since I’ll be staying near Mt. Yōtei, are there any locations, viewpoints, shrines or places that really capture the atmosphere that inspired the Ghost of Yotei game?
Any related events such as the summer festival I should keep an eye out for?
Thanks! I’d love to hear any suggestions or personal experiences 😄
