Need suggestions on clothes.! For Men.

Hello all, I'm looking to rebuild my wardrobe.
Need your suggestions about brands which offer good quality and trending inner wears, gym clothes and regular clothes. Comfort and movement are priority.

P.S- I know clothes are not BIFL items. But I am looking for good quality garments as we often put a lot of money on these things throughout the years.

Please help me to buy the best stove for my mummy

This version keeps your natural vibe, your thought process, the “mumma approval committee” energy 😭🍲, and the slightly chaotic-but-genuine way humans actually write online:

Bought this on 10th May, and today I finally placed a return request on Amazon from where I ordered it.

Tbh, I personally really like this stove. I kinda have faith in this vertical flame concept as it feels like it can actually give better performance while consuming less gas. The overall build and look also feel pretty premium to me.

But… my mumma isn’t vibing with it much.

She’s a bit skeptical about the flame design itself, especially that single circular flame pattern (attached image for reference). And honestly, she doesn’t really care whether it saves some extra gas or has modern engineering and all that stuff. For her, convenience matters the most.

The main issue according to her is cleaning. It has those two plates/trays, one fixed and one removable, and whenever milk spills over, it becomes a bit annoying to clean properly. Plus there’s always this fear that milk or tiny food particles might enter those burner holes in the long run.

Look-wise she does think it looks nice, but overall her reaction is basically just “meh”.

Now I’m genuinely confused whether I should continue with the return or keep it because maybe it turns out to be a W in the long run.

If anyone here has actually used this stove for a decent amount of time, please share your honest experience regarding:

• cleaning and maintenance

• burner durability

• gas consumption

• reliability after months/years

• service/warranty support if something goes wrong

And please suggest me a genuinely good 3-burner stove for my mumma... One that’s practical, easy to clean, reliable af, and backed with good warranty/service support.

The pickup guy is supposed to come on the 23rd, so I still got some time to decide whether I’m making a smart move or committing a kitchen blunder.

Men’s underwear that actually fits right?

I’m replacing my underwear and running into a fit issue I can’t quite solve. One size feels a bit too tight and ends up riding up as soon as I move, especially at the back. The next size up fixes that, but then everything feels loose and less supportive.

I usually stick to modal/cotton briefs and prefer briefs over trunks since they feel more supportive, especially for workouts. I just haven’t found a pair that stays comfortable and in place all day without constant adjusting.

Looking for briefs that actually balance comfort, support, and fit properly without needing to size up or deal with ride up issues.

Thank you guys.

Why does buying an AC in India feel like solving JEE Advanced? 💀

Need a 1.5 ton AC that’ll run ~18 hours/day, consume less electricity, and last 5–7+ years.

ONLY considering:

  • Mitsubishi
  • O General
  • Daikin
  • Hitachi

After suffering with LG 2020 models, I don’t trust random recommendations anymore 😭

Every brand has 10 different models with the same specs. What are we actually supposed to look for while buying?

Also, which brand/model is genuinely the best long term?

Worst customer service experience I've ever had - New Samsung WindFree AC not cooling and 1.5 months of endless delays

I bought a Samsung WindFree AC in early April, and it has been one of the worst purchase experiences I've ever had.

From day one, the AC did not cool properly. Even when set to 16°C, the room temperature never dropped below 21–22°C. We had technicians visit multiple times. Both initially claimed the AC was working fine.

When we insisted on proper testing, we asked them to place a thermometer directly in front of the airflow. Even then, with the AC set to 16°C, the air temperature never dropped below 22°C.

What made things worse was the way the technicians handled it:

- They first placed the thermometer directly on the AC grill, where it showed ~14°C, which is misleading.

- When the thermometer was placed correctly on the bed in front of the airflow, the reading rose to room temperature.

- Before the temperature stabilized, they took a photo and uploaded incorrect data claiming the AC was cooling properly.

Then came some of the most absurd excuses I have ever heard. It’s honestly surprising how Samsung even lets such people be service managers:

- "The outside temperature is too high." (That's exactly the reason we bough an AC lol)

- "The room is on the first floor." (And? So the AC won't work on rooms on higher floors?)

- "The room is too large." (The room is 180 sq ft with the AC being 1.5ton)

- "One window curtain was open." (A very small 5 inch height 20 inch wide window without direct sunlight, just ambient lighting)

I've expereinced performance of ACs from Hitachi, Panasonic, Blue Star, and LG in much hotter conditions and on higher floors, and none of them behaved like this. It's genuinely surprising and very very frustrating how one can even consider such excuses when trying to justify their product not working properly.

Samsung Customer Care Was Even Worse

We believed buying Samsung meant reliable customer support. That turned out to be completely false.

Over the last 1.5 months:

- We called customer care roughly 50 times.

- In one 3-day period alone, we called around 20 times.

- We were repeatedly put on hold for 20–40 minutes.

- Every time, we had to explain the issue from scratch.

- We were told a supervisor or service team would call back "within 15–30 minutes."

- Not once did anyone actually call back.

When we demanded escalation, supervisors gave the same scripted response: "We will escalate this to the service team." Nothing happened.

When asked for a higher authority, they told us there was no one above them.

Additional Problems

- WindFree mode makes a loud creaking noise.

- Auto mode sometimes starts blowing warm air and lets the room heat back up to 26°C.

- Power consumption is extremely high. Our electricity bill increased dramatically despite buying a 5-star rated model specifically for efficiency.

Final Verdict

The AC still does not work properly, and Samsung has done nothing to resolve the issue after 1.5 months. This is easily the worst customer support experience I've ever had. Samsung's customer care seems designed to delay and exhaust customers until they give up.

I will never buy another Samsung appliance, and I strongly advise others to avoid Samsung WindFree ACs.

Based on my experience, brands like LG, Hitachi, Panasonic, and Blue Star are far more reliable.

TL;DR: Samsung WindFree AC doesn't cool below 21–22°C even when set to 16°C. Technicians gave ridiculous excuses, customer care never called back despite 50+ calls over 1.5 months, and the issue remains unresolved. Avoid Samsung ACs.

Best Running Shoes Under ₹1000 in India?

Hi everyone,

I’m a beginner runner from India and looking for good running shoes under ₹1000. I mainly need them for:

  • Daily walking/jogging
  • Light running
  • Comfortable long use

I checked some options like Campus, ASIAN, and Kalenji, but I’m confused which one gives the best comfort and durability in this budget.

If anyone has personal experience or recommendations, please suggest:

  • Best comfort
  • Best durability
  • Best value for money

Also let me know if increasing the budget slightly is worth it. Thanks!

Littmus test for indian brands

If you’re unsure about the quality of a brand that’s new to you, one you discovered through an Instagram ad or an Amazon search result, there’s a quick way to check if they are any good.

See if they’re on CRED.

If they are, save your money. It’s probably cheap garbage.

hot take: super thick hotel towels are overrated for Indian bathrooms

I used to think higher GSM = better towel, but now I think drying speed matters more in Indian homes.

A plush towel can feel premium on day one and still become annoying if it stays damp, smells musty, sheds lint, or needs sunlight every time.

What towel feature actually matters long term: GSM, cotton type, weave, low lint, drying speed, softness after washes, or something else?

Does this Daikin Air Conditioner quote look ok?

Parents just build their house and asked me to take care of all the appliances.

I’ve asked the installer for Daikin with WiFi Options.

He initially told me to avoid the wifi ones because it has issues? But I thought he just wants to put the others.

Can someone please verify if the charges are ok?

Thanks

Water Softener for home

I am looking to buy Water Softener for my home, the hard water problem is increasing everyday. I live in Punjab and the ground water is getting bad.

I researched and found either salt based water softeners like 3M, Kent or Aquaguard or the non- salt based like Hard2Soft.

Salt based are expensive, require regular top up of salt water and a lot of water wastage. Non-salt based is cheap, no maintenance but less effective and needs changing every 8-10 months.

My water tank size is 2000L and we fill it everyday. Which is better option for me and which brand?

Need TV suggestions (Long-term reliability priority) – replacing my 10-year-old Sony

I’ve been using a Sony KLV-40R552C 40-inch Full HD Smart LED TV since 2016. Bought it for around ₹30k back then, and honestly it ran for almost 10 years without a single issue in between.

Recently, it stopped working (likely mainboard issue according to Sony technician). Sony service said parts are not available anymore because it’s an older model also I checked with the local technician he mentioned to replace the motherboard charges 5k, warranty 3 months.

Now I’m planning to buy a new TV and want suggestions from people with real long-term experience.

My priorities (in order):

Longevity / reliability (want something that can last many years)

Picture quality

Sound quality

Good overall experience (smooth OS is a plus)

Budget: ₹35k–₹45k

Size: 43" to 55"

Not a gamer. Mostly OTT, YouTube, movies, TV channels.

I’m currently considering Sony, Samsung, LG, maybe TCL if it’s genuinely reliable long term. But after using a Sony for 10 years, I’m slightly biased toward durability 😅

People who have used TVs for 5–10 years — what would you recommend today in this budget? Specific model suggestions are welcome.

Recommendations Required for 4 Door Refrigerator

We are looking to replace our 13 Year Old Hitachi 4 door refrigerator. We had good experience with it but it just isn’t working well at this point and the door lock part is broken and replace isn’t available

I’ve been to Croma and Vijay Sales. They didn’t have any Hitachi or Bosch refrigerators and said that those brands aren’t good (dubious; I believe the margins might be less).

They had Samsung, Haier, LG and a few other brands.

We are looking for 600+ Litres refrigerator. Side by side models aren’t preferred as the freezer compartments become too huge for our use case and refrigerator space gets cramped.

Budget: 1-2 lacs

Looking for reliable brands with good service. We’ve never used any Samsung or LG products hence don’t know if they are durable. Our last fridge has lasted 13 years so obviously we are out of touch with the current market scenario 😅

Thanks in advance!

Update: bought IFB Senator 8kg Front load washing mc

Ended up buying choosing IFB 8kg one - 32k on amazon no cost emi.

Shortlisted 8kg models from LG Samsung. Almost ended up buying LG, but IFB had higher credit card discount.

Initial issues : Machine stopped abruptly 15 mins into operation, causing a circuit break. First we changed the power socket to a 16A one, again the issue did not stop. We called an electrician and he replaced the MCB in our houses mainboard to a higher Amps one. That solved the issue and touchwood has been running smooth since then.

During installation, technician suggested to install inlet water filter from IFB which costed 2.4k (is it high? Lemme know in comments) we have high TDS in our water - nearly 1000. Need suggestions on long it will last, what frequency to change & what's a better option to buy online or local stores?

What i really liked about the mc, it has very less vibration and works well even without a stand. Wash quality is good compared to the Bosch top load we had earlier.

Urgent:Outdoor CCTV camera recommendations

Hi. Given the current political situation in West Bengal, my father decided to install a better CCTV cameras at our home. Near our house, some people regularly consume weed. Although we have a boundary wall around our property, they gather about 100–150 meters away from our house. Therefore, we are planning to install CCTV cameras for surveillance purposes. My requirements for an outdoor CCTV system are: 1.High-quality video clarity up to 100 meters 2.Color night vision 3.Guidance on choosing between DVR and NVR 4.Good build quality and durability

Previously, we had installed a CCTV camera, but some miscreants threw stones at it and damaged it. Feel free to suggest. Thank you for your kind attention 🙏🙏

Company has mandated 2 days WFH from next week. Help me set up!

Each employee has been given us Rs 25000 one-time allowance for WFH setups. I read this WFH setup guide in detail and now I'm thinking of getting a good chair + monitor minimum. Plus may invest in a headset (calls all day) + standing desk (to avoid sitting all day) + keyboard/mouse from own money a bit later.
Any recommendations/suggestions/warnings from people who've set-up for working from home?
