Help me strategise buying electronics for a 2BHK renovation

Hello, I’m getting my 2BHK renovated and need to buy quite a few electronics for the house:

  1. 2× 5-star split ACs
  2. 2× Geysers
  3. Microwave
  4. Double-door refrigerator
  5. 55" TV
  6. 5× BLDC fans
  7. Stove
  8. A few other smaller items

The renovation should be mostly complete in about a month, so I’m trying to figure out the best way to plan these purchases.

My current plan is to visit stores like Vijay Sales, Croma, Electronics Mart, etc. and negotiate on the bigger-ticket items. I was thinking of getting quotes from multiple stores and then taking the best quote to the store manager to see if they can offer a further discount, especially if I’m buying multiple items.

I also have a few cashback credit cards from several banks but nothing particularly premium, though, can also apply for a new CC it that helps.

For people who have bought multiple appliances/electronics together:

  • Is it actually worth negotiating a bulk deal with one store?
  • Are there any good local/independent electronics stores in Delhi that usually offer better prices than the big chains?
  • Is it better to buy everything from one place or buy each item wherever I can get the best deal?
  • Do stores generally give additional discounts if you’re buying 4–5+ appliances together?
  • Would you prioritise card offers/cashback and buy items separately instead?
  • Any other strategy that has worked well for you?

I’m completely okay with visiting multiple stores and spending some time on this. Just want to get the best overall value rather than blindly buying everything from one retailer.

Would especially appreciate experiences from people who have done something similar. I am a corporate person and I get time only on Weekends, I am waiting for the upcoming Diwali sale to maximise the discounts.

Query regarding size calculation, mismatch from architect estimate

I am getting my work done from an Architect I found online, both design and execution is being done by him in a 2BHK for renovation while we stay here only by getting the work done in parts.

From past 2 weeks, I am really concerned if the size calculation he did is correct or not. On asking twice he confirmed the measurements are correct and on further enquiry there comes a point where discussion starts going in direction if I trust him or not or I should get my work done from someone whom I trust.

So for a small toilet even if I do basic math by self or GPT to calculate the tiling area, it doesnt even come close to the area/cost he mentioned in estimate. Below is the snapshot for small toilet where 5th column is cost per sqft and 6th column is total area.

Its a small toilet where we will have a wall mounted WC, a niche sort of on top of tank and then a cabinet on top of it till roof.

Height: 91in
Width: 38in
Length: 47in
Door: L: 80in , 29in

These are the dimensions I calculated. Being an engineer, every day keep on getting difficult what am I even missing in this? Is his calculation wrong or fabricated or am I really missing something (hopefully) because I do trust him but a lot times small things seems fishy.

Can anyone please even tell a rough estimate is the size and cost/sqft mentioned by him for tiling area and other work correct?
