More or less a theory. I’m on chapter 1501.
I just noticed that the color from the start of being a gu master (rank 1) corresponds to the start of being a Gu immortal (rank 6) and follows up to rank 9. While rank 10 is not represented in the highest rank of mortals (5).

Rank 1: Green Copper - Rank 6: Green Grape
Rank 2: Red Steel -Rank 7: Red Date
Rank 3: White Silver -Rank 8: White Litchi
Rank 4: Yellow Golden -Rank 9: Yellow Apricot
Rank 5: Purple Crystal -Rank 10: Purple ???

No idea if this is simply how GZR built the world and intended it to be but there could be a rank 10 with for example purple plum immortal essence. This would follow the trend of 1 and 6; 2 and 7; 3 and 8; 4 and 9 each corresponding to the same color.
The mortal primeval essence is also described with minerals or metals vs the immortal essence being described as fruits. So maybe I’m right (probably not).

I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed so don’t take this too seriously.

FY just created his, as he called it, “first” split soul. he will obviously create more in the future but i have a question about the split soul.
because the first split soul is a time path gu immortal, would it be able to use spring autumn cicada in hopeless situations? it would either travel back in time and warn FY about the future or FY would “only” sacrifice a split soul instead of dying completely upon failure to activate SAC. the former situation solves his problems entirely while the latter lets him survive and find another way. is he going to use this split soul like this?

i’m only on chapter 1473 right now so i’m not too sure about this.
FY now wants to destroy Fate Gu, which i predicted (i’m so proud of myself). wouldn’t lifespan gu still appear after Fate Gu is destroyed? Heavens Will balance’s everything by using Fate Gu. after it is destroyed you could live forever because HW wouldn’t balance the existence of a Venerable with the disappearance of lifespan gu anymore.

kind of a theory but not really.
FY just got SS true inheritance which included RL inheritance. i don’t think FY will use/ refine (to rank 9) SAC again… that is until he is a venerable and refined it out of pure security to himself. why would he not? and the entire timeline plot is kinda overdue to end. not saying it was boring or anything, just looking at it objectively. it’s time he relies on himself instead of having failsaves and future knowledge. his foundation is deep enough after inheriting all that.

Is the Gu world flat? If yes, what happens if you try to leave the Gu world by going towards the edge of it? like going straight east in Eastern Sea etc.

If it is round, why would people have to go through Central Continent to reach Southern Border from Northern Plains?

i’ve read and watched my fair share of manwha, manhua, manga and anime.
in almost all isekai the protagonist is on some sort of mission by a higher being (like a god) or they get isekai’d through a ritual or summoning. this makes them feel even more like a protagonist than they already are. what i like about Reverend Insanity is that the mc isn’t someone extremely special because he was summoned from another world. i really like the concept of otherworldly demons, it makes everyone seem less special and important than in generic isekai. the gu world is more balanced and FY isn’t the only otherworldly demon. i don’t know how to explain it.

not really a theory but could it be possible that, after reincarnating from a mecha world, TH created something like mechas or at least some machinery in the gu world? i picture an immortal killer move like a gu house that’s a rocket ship that shoots missiles or something. or a suit of armor like Lang Ya land spirits Heavenly Giant Solor ancient battle formation. like transformers.

i’m on chapter 1097 and made a theory about fate gu and why FY will need to destroy it.

(this i’m 99% sure is correct)
1.1 if you are fated to become venerable, be approved by heavens will
1.2 if you’re not fated, destroy fate gu to break the fate of not becoming a venerable
2. pass the hardest tribulation from rank 8 -> 9
3. level of understanding of dao (related to 1.1, 1.2?)

(this is just speculation)
3. dao marks (quantity, quality or balance between every dao mark)
4. gu worms (amount of immortal gu)

man i feel so bad for fang zheng… he lost his entire clan to his brother, he was abandoned by everyone, he was tortured and imprisoned and now he’s a sex slave of a female hairyman. i saw fang zheng as naive and annoying but he seriously doesn’t deserve this. i think he will survive and improve all around, like a training arc.

im on chapter 961 and Bo Qing just woke up. Seven Star Child is Vice Envoy Blue and Bo Qing is Envoy Azure. i don’t remember if there was another confirmed member. My „Theory“ is that Red Lotus Demon Venerable is „red“. it’s possible RLDV created Shadow Sect after failing to completely destroying fate Gu as a way of dealing with it. „purple“ is the purple haired „beggar“ that gave Tai Bai Yun Sheng and others inheritances. Shadow Sect has been progressing their plan for a hundred thousand years apparently. couldn’t it be possible that „purple“ distributed inheritances as a part of the gigantic plan? just like Old Man Yan Shi made BNB go to the nameless mountain and create the phantom forbidden zone with the time path investigative immortal gu.

i made a theory about fang yuan and fate gu, explaining why i think fang yuan will need to destroy fate gu to achieve his goal of eternal life/ even becoming a venerable (SCIV deduced Great Dream Immortal Venerable would be the next venerable, which is why fang yuan will need to destroy fate gu just like Red Lotus Demon Venerable). i thought of fate gu as a passive gu that just guides events in a certain way/ order, but couldn’t it also be used actively? changing fate after you refined it? heaven overseeing tower was mentioned again just now and i remembered how people that escaped fate were depicted on the walls going up to fate gu. it wasn’t mentioned that heaven overseeing tower could/ couldn’t influence fate actively. SCIV created this gu house and therefore (if what i think is possible) might not have actually deduced the future but changed fate in a way, in which she would know what will happen, because she made it that way. this might be a crazy theory. was the reason Red Lotus Demon Venerable attacked fate gu because he found out about being the „product“ of SCIV plans for the future? did he just want to not be tied to her plans? or did he figure out he would be used by SCIV to resurrect or something. idk i’m just yapping.

i am on chapter 774. it’s been around 100 chapters since fang yuan became a zombie. so far i’ve enjoyed reading this arc, because of his accumulation of immortal essence stones or his schemes and mind games against his enemies. there is just one problem, i alone am responsible for. i’ve looked up how long the arc is because i wanted to find out why the arc is viewed so negatively. now while reading i constantly remember just how many chapters are left in this arc which demotivates me. i will keep reading nonetheless and i still enjoy the arc, just wanted to give my opinion.

i was confused that Red Lotus Demon Venerables destruction of fate gu wouldn’t achieve anything, because immortal gu reappear. i know there’s an arc called fate war so here are some speculations.

how i see fate gu working is like guard rails on a road. its like a boundary for events to unfold in a certain way/ order. RLDV wanted to achieve something. he couldn’t achieve this because everyone moves along the road while the guardrails (fate gu) guide events to a certain destination. somehow he broke fate gu, the guard rails were broken and he achieved it. it was said RLDV let all living beings regain the ability to grasp their own fate. which aligns with the restriction of choosing one’s own fate (the guardrails which is fate gu) being broken. this is in my opinion wishful thinking. immortal gu reappear after some time, therefore RLDV could achieve his goal while others are still bound by fate gu.
i don’t think fate gu can rewrite the past, it can only guide the present. it couldn’t stop RLDV because it was destroyed and couldn’t change what happened back. as far as i know immortal gu have new wills after reappearing, maybe fate also switches to a new road (analogy) with new guardrails after being reborn? because of this everyone is once again bound by fate, even fang yuan.
if fang yuan wants to achieve eternal life or even rank 9, he would need to destroy fate gu aswell and achieve what he wants before fate gu reappears. (i believe it was) Star Constellation predicted Great Dream Immortal Venerable appearing in the near future as the next venerable. she deduced this future event when fate gu existed, therefore if fang yuan wants to achieve his goals he’ll need to destroy fate gu to not enter the future that was deduced by SC. he’s currently not fated to be rank 9/ achieve eternal life. maybe he is Great Dream Immortal Venerable and will just be called a different name but he is certainly not righteous, so this is unlikely.
as i mentioned i know the arc fate war exists in the novel (got spoilered). i believe this arc is about fang yuan realising this and destroying fate gu.

i could be reaching but this makes sense no?
