My uncle has given me a Sony Bravia X8J43. His work was going to dispose of it due to no remote they tried connecting to it. I think he said they had over 170 of these, so tried several remotes.

I bought a Sony One for All remote that should be compatible according to online. Doesn’t work. A sky remote doesn’t learn it.

I tried my phone to use a Sony Connect App but because I can’t get past the very first set up screen and select a language, I cannot even connect the TV to the internet or anything.

The TV is perfect I don’t want to throw it away as I don’t even really need all the features on it, literally just the screen!!!!

Any advice?

1. I got six Indian stick insects in November. They were all babies at the time about 4cm. Should I be expecting their life cycle to be ending soon? One died 2 weeks ago but it never grew to full size, It remained very small, so I expected it, the rest are normal size. But one is now unwell.

2. They started laying lots of eggs of course, I have kept some eggs in a Tupperware with air. When I was a kid I ended up with f***ing loads of sticks, too many to count…. I had to create a giant six foot tank for them. (In a house with 0 heating in UK) But I don’t remember incubating or anything, why have they not hatched yet? This house is way warmer.

It would just be sad to lose all my sticks without anymore to replace them. Any advice would be welcome.
