Same as the title. Now that semaglutide (Noveltreat) is available for lower prices. How many of you switched and how is your journey so far? I’m a bit concerned of my journey cuz I end up being on plateau more than I would like to be but I’m being patient. Doc moved me to Sema and I’m now wondering. I’m still 20 kgs away from my goal.

After a mounjaro pen fiasco and 7.5mg making my blood sugar drop I have now been moved to .5mg of Noveltreat.
Fake pen mounjaro update : spoke to auth dealer of Eli Lilly and figured I’ll source it from him going forward. Apollo no call back, no mail.. the Apollo RM stopped answering phones and infact got a call from them offering a discount on my future mounjaro like a sales call today😒 Reached out to health officer to submit my pen.. they asked where I got from and everything and said will call back but no response and I was just tired from all of it honestly. I was like I’m alive and fine so I’ll just move on I thought.
Since 2 weeks my stomach been hurting - mid stomach to be precise and I can’t even eat beyond 3 spoons of food and since 2-3 days I had been feeling extremely week and dizzy, basically incapable of functioning normally and today some random idea of taking a spoon of sugar hit me and I did and I was having some energy. Immediately scheduled my meeting with my doc and he told me why am I stubborn on staying mounjaro when GLP1s work just as MJ. Also all my symptoms says I need to be tapered to a dose lower so I by not start on .5mg of novel treat and needn’t fear of MJ fake pens which may happen in future since Eli Lilly is the only manufacturer and owner of the molecule and people will get smarter with fakes.
So long story short : I am now on Noveltreat. Anybody would like to shed their experience on the same, please help a fellow newbie out.
I’m currently on 7.5mg — So just recently because of a long plateau I went the rabbit hole of searching if my product is fake or original. Guess what.. the flagged batch number by government and the batch number of my product is the same 😩 I called Apollo from where I picked up and he is like let me investigate. Investigate what? Aargh.. additionally I have written to Lilly Indian email Id I found. Hoping they say it’s not a fake :( because I have two pens of this batch number.
A little detail to many asking why all of a sudden I had a doubt. I started mounjaro in feb on 2.5mg I lost 3.5 kgs on it. I started 5mg from my doc in march and I lost 500 gms, I thought I’m a slow responder- I am doing walks, protein intake etc then I bought my second 5mg from Apollo Pharmacy and still I was sort of on plateau and my hunger suppression all that great along with stress of it was just wasn’t helpful.. had an episode of diarrhoea for 3 days soon after the second jab of my new pen but no weightloss per se. Then spoke to doc and even raised a query here and moved to 7.5mg and numbers started moving. I lost 3 kgs over all by 2 weeks on 7.5mg. That’s around same time news of fake mounjaros were around and I looked up the 2 boxes numbers (for some reason I had photographed the box of first 5mg before discarding and starting the second one) both had the number as provided on the news article. I called Eli Lilly to confirm and they confirmed verbally but wouldn’t send me a mail.. I have written to 4 emails of theirs and let’s see. Apollo Pharmacy denied vehemently and said though they identified flagged batch number in their database but Eli Lilly said it’s ok to dispense and they dispensed it since they source it from them directly. I told the guy I need a proper answer cuz 32k is not a small amount for me and you guys aren’t sure if you have put people in danger by actually dispensing medication govt had flagged. Well the guy was silent and expecting me to just let it go.
So people who may have flagged batch numbers I am not sure whether you got a good one or the corrupted one but if it has worked for you.. good for you guys. Eli Lilly said they have flagged these batch numbers but they are confirming sources so that they know we got it from authorised dealers. So i am hoping for my sake that you and I all bought the pen from authorised dealers of Eli and Lilly like apollo, Tata 1 mg Mr Med etc and hope someone in the logistics didn’t buy some cheap stuff from scammers and pushed into their system to make some quick buck and I and maybe a few others received those.
If it’s working for you despite the batch number being flagged then you may have got a good one so stop panicking. As for me I have got the contact of an authorized dealer of Eli Lilly in my area cuz I’m once bitten so I’m just going to be cautious.
