Pretty enough; but what goes in it?

Hey everyone. I set up this happy little UNS 3G nano on my desk this week using an assortment of rocks from our local beaches and some leftover fertilized substrate and filter material. At the moment I have a small number of Ramshorn snails in there to keep the algae down but I’d like something a bit more dynamic. The stones are such a great opportunity for microhabitats that I’m trying to think of an occupant that could really take advantage of them. Bumblebee gobies come to mind, but I think the tank may be a bit small for even them (and I might have to change the substrate). I originally intended to get pea puffers, but I’ve rethought the wisdom of that because of the live/frozen food requirement, and because the tank is too small for them to be peaceful. Obvious choices are snails only, or a small number of Neocaridina sp. with some moss. Chili rasboras seem possible but it might be tough to keep them happy since I could only have a few. Thai micro crabs came to mind but they live very short lives. Any other cool ideas? I’m not really a Betta kind of aquarist, but maybe that could work… Thanks, all!
