[Spoilers C4E37] Missed Turns?

>!Just curios if i missed something, but didn't Hal heal Wick's mom for 10 temp hp? Wouldn't that mean she should've been up for 1-2 rounds of combat? Just curious if I missed something as to why they skipped her. !<

(Finale Spoilers)Uplifting thought when going through hard times…

Something that I’ve been thinking about is that through most of last season The Bear already had their stars, they just didn’t know it.

The clock had 960 hours left during that ep, so they had to wait like 40 days before they found out they had that star. During that time they were all (rightfully) super stressed and scratching to survive, but all they had to do was hang in there long enough to reap the reward that was waiting for them.

As someone who has/is gone/going through hard times, it gives me hope that maybe I’m about to find that job or find my partner or get the help that I need- it’s already waiting for me I just need to survive to get there. Just “stay in the game” one day/hour/minute more and maybe that’ll be the moment everything gets better.

I dunno if this resonates with other people, but it’s something that’s helping me so I wanted to share.

[Spoilers C4E30] - Brennan Conspiracy Theory

Note- edited the begining a bit, didn’t mean to say BLeeM “planned” this, more on how Teor’s death could actually push some things forward in C4.

TL;DR: Brennan toon advantage of bad decisions leading to Teor's death to show the stakes are high and secondarily take care of some plot threads

Alright, everyone get out your Pepe Silvia charts, here's a quick conspiracy theory for Teor's death. It's not 100% thought out but something I've been thinking about since the episode aired.

First, we know from previous episodes that Brennan will "lie" to players to push the plans of a super high level/prepared plan from a NPC (the fake natural 1 from the photarch and the crazy face he made is one example we know of). Just like in a book where there's not a "trustworthy" narrator, we know Brennan can't be trusted 100%.

Like many people have listed, Travis (not his fault) didn't play optimally in that situation...but he ended up in a crazy fight after a near miss on the insight check. Travis didn't roll a nat 1 or a 5 or something - it was pretty close to the DC, so it was a interesting that BLeeM put him in such a crazy fight.

Right now, the story is clearly centered around Wick (w/ Tyranny), Occtus (born in the houses), Julien (revenge), Hal until now (and he might be killed off soon after the play), and strong secondary stories from Azune (Einfasen connection), Thaisha (old path angle), Murray & Boliare (research and lore and connections across houses). Kat, Thimble, and Teor are all of note just because of their connection to Thjazi. Kat just got the new Primus angle, and Thimble has the "gates to fairy" storyline though I wouldn't be surprised if she died next episode. That leaves Vaelus and Teor. Vaelus just failed her mission by destroying the Stone Nightsong, which might significantly change her since that was the purpose she was sent on her mission for and she basically just betrayed her god, but that's another discussion.

Teor was going to be in trouble going forward. For Wick's story to stick, he has to throw Teor, Thimble, Katt and crew under the bus. Teor was also seen as the "leader," so he'd basically be on the run for the foreseeable future as Wick plays from the inside.

With Teor's death in the Tachonis house while holding weapons from Royce and Einfasen allows the Halovar/Tachonis bond to be stronger, and let Wick "be happy" Teor died to play his part more. This perfectly solves a part of Wick's cover story and lets the table "move on" from that storyline. Eventually, we could dive more into Teor's past, but that can come from Wick or other party members to try and figure out where he got his divine magic from.

So what if BLeeM saw an opportunity with the party's bad choices to set an example. Punish bad play, kill off a loved yet minor character which would have a huge emotional impact on the fanbase with little/no impact on the storylines, plus have the ability to bring back zombie Teor and Syd in the future to haunt the other PCs. Obviously BLeeM didn't railroad Teor and gave him a shot to escape (likely alone), but he also put him in a brutal fight that seemed a bit "harsh."

It also frees up Travis to come up with a new character that could have a great impact now that he understands the world better. Travis did such a good job with Fjord and Grog's arc's (Chet was more comic relief than anything), so I'd love to see him be someone from one of the sundered houses to be closer to the story's main points.

Would love to hear if y'all think I'm crazy. I'm a big fan of C4 and excited to see where we go from here.
