Any other Wellhub partners get bait and switched to Diamond?
About 3 months into being a Wellhub partner, WH notified me that my business was being moved to Diamond from a lower tier because of a “system activation error.”
I immediately disputed the change because I have had many members sign up for Wellhub to utilize my services and it felt like a bait and switch for them. I’ve also invested in marketing and advertising as a Wellhub partner and encouraged people to sign up within our original tier which made it affordable for them.
I’m pretty confident a VERY LOW population of WH members are in the Diamond tier. Which creates a disadvantage for my business now.
I was told my case had been escalated for review.
Before I ever received an actual response to my dispute, Wellhub changed my tier anyway.
The only response I received was from a chat bot saying this is part of a global reclassification of therapy providers which conflicts with their original email that this was an activation error, so I’m trying to verify whether that’s actually happening.
UPDATE: Based on the responses so far, this appears to have been a universal rollout. However, it seems certain larger wellness and therapy providers were not impacted. The changes primarily affected small businesses and single-location studios, which raises questions about whether larger brand names were intentionally protected.
I’ve reached out to Wellhub multiple times through email, Instagram, X, and even via DM here as they requested below—and I still haven’t received a personalized response. The only reply received was on this public posts claiming these changes were intended to be “fair and sustainable” for both parties.
Meanwhile, members are being forced to pay higher premiums to access the same services they’ve always used, while locked into contracts, and partners continue to be paid the exact same reimbursement rates.
It pretty clear the driving force behind this change is greed. People are investing in their wellness more and more and Wellhub saw this trend as a money grab opportunity. Instead of finding more ways to make wellness more affordable for their members, they’ve decided to make it more expensive.
Shame on you Wellhub!!! You need to do better.
