Careful with minoxidil: Apparently it can be lethal to pets!

After watching this reel https://www.instagram.com/reel/DeF7upKOC-1/?stkn=bjFnMzM1aDlpemNi and doing some quick research I discovered that apparently minoxidil can be lethal for pets, especially cats and dogs. The guy in the video said he unfortunately had to put his cat down after it came into contact with minoxidil.
I personally don't have pets and don't take minoxidil, but I know a lot of trans guys take it for beard growth and this seems like very important information to share.
In case this needs to be said: I am not saying not to take minoxidil nor shaming anyone for taking it. I was unaware that it could be so dangerous to pets when it seems to be completely fine for humans. I'm hoping that, if this is actually true, sharing this video amd information will prevent further animal deaths. Please do your own research and apply the necessary amount of suspicion to any information you get online.
