What is the worst line that the writers thought would sound tough?

The hero and the villain in an action movie are generally expected to be tough, dangerous, and should be taken seriously. Unless it's an action comedy, where they might come off as goofy.

There has always been a line in a movie that stood out to me. It's from Death Race (2008) with Jason Statham

The main villain is some lady, I can't remember who she was or what she was trying to do. What I do remember is this quote:

"Ok, cocksucker. Fuck with me and we'll see who shits on the sidewalk".

That shits on the sidewalk line isn't a callback and it doesn't make sense in context. It's just something the writers thought would sound intimidating.

Who can beat that?

If Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo all had the same power level and all of the same abilities, who would win between them?

A 3-way match between them with all of the same skills. A question of who is the best fighter, has the most will power, and would use their brains to win a 3-way battle.

To make things fair, nobody has plot armor. Nobody is going to get beaten to near death and just get back up because they got angry or extra determined.

Does knowing a show will have a crappy ending ruin its rewatch ability?

Most people agree that shows like Lost, GoT, and now The Boys were great in their prime and mostly crapped the bed in the end. Do you still rewatch shows like that or are they ruined for you? Can you watch the seasons you like, ignore any mysteries or cliffhangers that you know will never payoff, and still enjoy the experience?

How do you feel about Mike Flanagan as far as horror?

I LOVED the original Haunting of Hillhouse series on Netflix. It had an amazing combination of horror, drama, and mystery. The ghosts hidden around in the background were chef's kiss. The first time I watched it, I wasnt expecting them and was waiting for a jump scare when someone was just standing in the background without anyone noticing.

Then Bly Manor came out and I... kind of hated it? It had its moments and some nifty ideas, but the characters, ghosts, and setting overall just didnt do it for me. It just made me wish I was watching the original series.

Midnight Mass was good. Not my favorite but enjoyable.

House of Usher was probably my second favorite of his series. The mystery was interesting and there wasnt as much melodrama as some of his other series.

Then there was the Midnight club. Ugh. I kept waiting for that to get good and it... didnt.

On one hand, he is really good at setting up a scare. The second a character is alone you know something is going to happen. Jump scares are rarely over-the-top. The ghosts themselves usually have their own backstories. In the case of Hillhouse, you dont get a lot of the Hill's backstory but the show made you want to know more.

But he also drives me nuts with some of his signatures. The long monologues that characters deliver as the camera slowly zooms in on their face can be exhausting. It would be one thing if the monologue was relevant, but a lot of times a character will just be talking about something for 5 minutes just to loosely tie it into the topic at the last second.

I also feel like he has never reached the level of Hillhouse again. Midnight Mass has a pretty unique story and House of Usher was very engaging, but none of them ever made me feel any kind of dread.

How do you feel about his style? Will you watch anything he is involved in or just take it series by series?

What would have been the next logical step for Bioshock?

The first 2 games took place in an underwater city. It was amazing, especially the first time you saw rapture.

The devs couldn't just keep doing underwater so they went to the next logical place: the sky. The sense of isolation and claustrophobia was replaced with more freedom. It didn't feel as alien, but it still felt interesting.

They even had the people from the sky city visit the ocean city. It wasn't a full game but I'm sure it scratched that itch for whoever wanted it.

I had assumed another one would come out, but it never did. My 2 thoughts were either a space station or another planet.

There is so much media out there that takes place on space already. I don't feel like a game like that would give you that same feeling of being in uncharted territory. There are plenty of shooters on space stations, so I don't think that would have been next.

Another planet, however, could have been interesting. A situation where the lighthouse takes you to an extraterrestrial planet that humans had tried to terraform but failed for whatever plot-related reason. It would give the devs freedom to make all sorts of crazy things happen while still including the feeling of a civilization gone wrong.

What do you think would have been the next step? What's an environment that would feel pretty unique, especially in the right hands?

How do I opt out of mail from the casino?

Royal sends me at least 2 flyers in the mail every week. The offers are the same ones I find in their website, so there is no reason for me to read them. They go straight into the bin.

I have tried calling them twice and the agents have hung up. I don't think it was anything nefarious, but after sitting through the phone queue for a while I got tired of waiting.

There is no obvious way to opt out as far as I know. They are just wasting money and paper. How do you opt out of this? I assume I have to get in touch with them but I'm hoping there is another way.

My daughter noticed it the other day and thought the piggy had a boo boo. I looked and I'm pretty sure it's just a nipple, but it doesn't look like that on the other side (it's covered in fur).
