Haven't tried it, but is Dupixent worth it?

I'm wondering if Dupixent is worth it. I have had dry skin and eczema flare ups my entire life. My doctor said I should try Dupixent. Now my prescription is finally ready for the cost of $2000+ out of pocket. This is insane to me; I've never experienced a medication costing this much after insurance. I was told to look into the copay options, but I'm worried about hidden fees or being in debt to someone.

I've also read a few things here about the injections and pain. I get monthly allergy shots with no issues, I wonder if it's worse than that?

My hands are where I'm most self conscious- I get nervous to shake people's hands knowing they'll feel how dry they are. I never hold hands with anyone. I get flare ups from stress and allergies. I have a one year old so also more frequent hand-washing with changing diapers, messy meals, etc.

Pics for reference: I'm in my mid thirties, but my skin look older. I've had issues with my face and legs too, but luckily that's been under control for the most part.

TLDR: Dupixent is starting to sound too extreme with the cost and possible pain. I'm wondering if it's still worth trying. Maybe I just need some advice or other options.
