So basically i finally got my hands on a digicam my grandpa used before he died. It has been 2 years since he last used it and i was told i might need a new battery. I got a new battery and i just fully charged ut and inserted it in the camera but it wont turn on. Does anyone know why? This camera is very important to me and id love to be able to use it🥹

I tried turning it on but appearently the battery needed to be charged and when i went to a local camera store i was told that the battery is damaged and its very hard to find a new one that will work.
