Impact of prior employment on character and fitness evaluation for licensed attorney

Hi all, I’ve been licensed in another state for about eight years. I was at my first job for a little over a year, but then was in a state of chaos right after.

After leaving my first job, I had two jobs in the span of one year, and left both pretty abruptly. The second of these, I left in less than ideal terms. I wasn’t disciplined, but I was not a good fit for the role. I ended up putting in my two weeks notice, but ended up going home and making that notice effective immediately and cut all ties.

I’m not proud of it and have done a 180 with subsequent employers. I’m proud of my work and relationship with employers since then, but as the time passes, I’m growing panicked about what occurred with the two jobs I left so abruptly, especially the second.

In terms of the character and fitness evaluation, does anyone have any experience with something similar? I’m growing worried that I may not be cleared because of this.

Sitting for bar exam in second jurisdiction after 7 years

I took my first bar exam July 2019 (UBE) and passed very comfortably. At the time, I studied with Barbri and Adaptibar.

I have decided to sit for the Florida exam this upcoming February, but I’m anxious about studying while working full time. It’s not possible for me to work part-time, so I’ll need to plan my study schedule around my work schedule.

I’m looking for advice from those of you who have done the same thing, in particular, what your timeline/average day looked like. I’m thinking of starting my study plan this month, so I can have a full six months to prep. I’ve already purchased Adaptibar, and will purchase Barbri, but am unsure whether to purchase it with extended access which would begin this month. I’m thinking of dedicating roughly 3 hours to studying everyday until February, and then taking the week before the exam and the week of the exam off. Others have told me six months is too much and I should start later.

For those of you who have done this, what did your study schedule look like? Any advice? I’m conflicted on whether to start now or October.

Thanks!

Dads, would you appreciate FIFA tickets even if they aren’t for your favorite teams?

I am considering buying my dad tickets to the Cape Verde v Uruguay Father’s Day game since we’re local to Florida and I can fit current ticket prices into my budget.

However, I’m unsure because they aren’t my dad’s favorite teams. Unfortunately, our home team is super popular and tickets would be $5k for us to go and I can’t afford that. But, I’m worried he may be disappointed? I don’t know, my dad is obsessed with soccer, he loves it so much, so I think he’d love to go to any FIFA game, but I’m second guessing myself a lot because I don’t want him to be disappointed.
