should he be called pip (pipsqueak) , chip or gus?
i can’t believe i’m writing this, just last night i posted a picture of peanut. he became bloated, he beat it 5 times before but this time he had lost his fight. he was so strong, so resilient and so brave. i’ve never met a guinea pig able to beat that many flare ups, he had such a love for life and loved his brothers so much. peanut became worse overnight, he had gone off of his legs, wouldn’t eat and became extremely bloated. we had him on metacam, cisapride and emperid and we knew it was his time. we took him to the vets, and he had the most peaceful send off. with love, kisses, and he even gave us kisses back. for the first time in a while he gave us loads of licks, even the vet got some!
as we knew it was time, we was able to celebrate his 6th birthday early. we already had his presents and cards ready as his birthday is only in a weeks time, and we was able to open them today. we read out his cards, and gave him his new bath mat , tunnel and cuddle cup. even though he was off his legs, he picked himself up to explore and appreciate his presents.
right now, he’s probably up there with his brother who passed earlier this year of cancer. they’re chasing each other, eating endless amounts of pea flakes and carrots and talking about patch. sharing stories, kisses and reunited again forever.
i love you peanut, i am so lucky to be able to call you my son. my child, my baby. i wouldn’t know what my life would be without you, i know it wouldn’t of been as good as it has been. thank you for all the cuddles, kisses hugs and laughs you have given me. i am so appreciative. you are the bravest boy, smartest, kindest, sweetest, funniest, greediest baby ever. i’m lost without you, but i know one day we will meet again. i was told by a friend, time moves slow in heaven so he will wake up tomorrow and see me again.
i love you. rest well my baby, your jobs done. i’ll see u again one day.
hugs kisses and boops

has hollister changed their sizing or is their long tops just naturally bigger?
i’ve been a size small since i was like 13 in tops, now all of a sudden size small tops are extremely big on me. like baggy, the arms are too long, gapping etc.
the short sleeve tops are fine, and the reversible tank tops are tight on me.
i now have to get a size xxs - xs in long sleeve tops. but i found this out through trying on my birthday gifts which i need to return😭
i picked him up and put him down before he jumped out, not sure how he got in there though 😭
this little guy is 6 in october! :’)
finally on medicines for his old man joint pain, he’s feeling great and isn’t getting bloated every other week at the moment. 1140 grams of cuteness!
had to seperate for 5 minutes, peanuts just getting over a near GI stasis episode and has pain so when patch is climbing on him and stopping him from eating or drinking he gets put on time out haha. but he doesn’t like it one bit.
he’s learnt how to open our LOCKED cage gate, he loves his brother but he’s a little too much . 🥹
best friends… mostly
4.5 months old , 1000 grams and still looking skinny haha. he’s going to be one BIG boy.
finally hit triple digits!
peanut is a little old now, so we’re enjoying every minute we get with him. loving him is such a privilege and it’s worth the pain.
calling my exotic vet tomorrow and hopefully get him booked in soon for a checkup and x-rays. it’s probably internal, arthritis or old age. however, i’ve noticed with pain meds he’s more active than what he usually is (even when not bloated). so it could be day to day pain causing these stomach upsets.
the strict diets not worked, he’s probably laughing at us now haha. he’s very happy and keeps coming out of his enclosure to say hi to me. i love my baby to pieces and would do anything for him. 2026 seems to be the year of vet checkups and illnesses. but we will get through it as a family.
please hope and pray for peanuts recovery. 🥹💕 i need more time with my boy. he seems to be getting a little slimmer already, but only time will tell.
after 50 hours with a different instructor and learning nothing, confidence was really low. i switched to an amazing automatic instructor who rebuilt my confidence and taught me how to drive even with my autism, dyspraxia, anxiety and fibromyalgia i have passed!! 18yo and already on the road 🤞🏻yippee
