Let's Talk Skins
Decided to make my own tier list for Ramattra's skins and I genuinely want to hear you opinions and which skins you guys like over others.
Now, before y'all come at me for putting the Mephisto skin in F tier, just listen for a second.
I am a big big BIG lover of robots, and I have a specific expectation when it comes to their design. Everything I'm about to say is my opinion.
- Maid Ramattra can do no wrong and he is the best house husband and I will kiss him into oblivion. Primordial is god tier and beautiful. I'm SO HAPPY that there's a chance we can get it again.
- Base skin is perfect, and I really enjoy the design elements that Apocalypse/Epyon have. No notes.
- B tier are the skins I usually flip between for certain maps, (ie the monks for Shambali or Kabuki for Neon Junction) and these skins are also very well thought out designs (tho Preserver is confusing to me, still a good skin)
- Construction. That is all
- I like the Necromancer skins except for the fact that he has a human face. That throws the entire design off for me and if they would've kept more omnic elements instead of making him look like a people, I'd be more happy with it. Same goes for the Poseidon, he's too human looking. Also, Blizzard, I know y'all have some weird thing about feet but keep that shit AWAY from the omnics, please. His trident, cool. Nemisis form, also cool. His exposed tootsies and human body? Get out of my shop, I don't want it. Biohazard is just kinda lame to me and it's one I rarely see in the wild, so when I do it's like, "Hh yea I forgot you exist."
- Mephisto is the worst skin (my opinion), with Diesel Baron coming at a very close second (hate that guy). I know that A LOT of people love the Meph skin, but I just... can't get past the fact that Diablo would have been a better pick in terms of design similarities. I mean, Diablo's waist is just as snatched, so he's already got that going for him, but his general build fits both Ramattra's omnic and nemisis forms better (tho I'll admit, nemisis Meph is very nice to look at). What bothers me most is how he's modeled, notably the exposed muscles and his tiny head. It feels very rushed and unbalanced to me, and every time I see this walking beef stick I go "UGH HE SUCKS." But I understand why they picked Mephisto, since it was specifically for the Lord of Hatred expansion, and that title fits Ramattra. But I think that's all that fits. Maybe you don't wanna give your game's namesake to what would be considered a minor character, but come on. Blizzard did SO good with the Moira Lillith skin and Mephisto just doesn't compare and all the design elements of Diablo would have been SO SO GOOD. I was honestly pretty disappointed by the entire collab since the previous one was AMAZING. But again, just my opinion. Also Diesel Baron is terrible, I've NEVER come across one in the wild and his flat top pisses me off. I will not elaborate further. Yuck.
So anyway, I'm sorry if I shit on your favorite skin, but I love Ramattra and I am very grateful for ALL the content we have. I simply wish Blizzard loved him just a little bit more. The day he gets something like a sakura skin or anything cute, I will implode on the spot.
