I'll say it: Critical pummel made our hero stronger.

Think about it bro. pummel is only a measly 108.33 dps and is easily outhealed. Nobody besides you can shoot behind the shield. So when you break all the shields instantly, now your whole team gets to shoot with you!!!!

The thing that makes shield heroes strong is their shield (duh) so when you remove it from the equation they have nothing!!!

Sigma, winston, brig, even zarya, all suffered for that brief 2 week period where ram could shred shields. The only one who wasn't easily countered was rein but that just meant we finally had to think while in that matchup and it was more skill dependent and it actually allowed more counterplay because his shield recharge is slower than form's cooldown (not to mention that rein without a shield literally cant play the game)

It even allowed you to win the mirror more easily because you could block the enemy ram's pummels for 4 seconds and you weren't a free target if you misused your form.

Im amazed everyone was so doomed out over the lack of piercing. character got nerfed when it was added back if you ask me.

I feel like Ram's earlier minor perks were a bit silly, you pretty much picked the shotgun one all the time. But right now it feels like we got two options and they're both very good.

If it's a close range map and you expect to nemesis a lot, you pick punch. If it's a map with long angles and you'll be poking a lot, then you get the shield. Unlike some other tanks, Ram's minor perks are both very good and can bring value.

I just hope they keep the same vision for perk changes in the future, because even now a lot of them are just "really good improvement" vs. "minor improvement you only really misclick on".

I'm a one Trick Ram. Yes I know it's not ideal, that's why I'm seeking help! Who would be good to pick up as a second option in case he gets banned?

Playing the community mode has revealed ram cannot have shield up while he is in nemesis form. Entering nemesis form automatically deletes the shield. Good day.
