My gen2 router blew out. It’s dead

The star link grok support sent me a gen3 router. I’ve tried the adapter , obviously no dice since gen2 router is dead.

Can I crimp the gen2 cable for rj45 and will a gen3 router power the gen2 dish? Or do I need a gen3 dish?

Don’t want to slice up my cable since no way back after that

I’m not getting any response at all from support it’s been a week now, at a loss how to resolve this
