Motus, the Outcast

Something of an outlier, Motus is a salvager, not interested in conflict. As a result, they have been shunned by their people, but have formed something of a unique community amongst a small group of Matoran. Though they aren't interested in conflict, they will step in to protect their community, though they still struggle with the concept of property and often take tools as they need them. Their community understands, and often has to convince others not to drive them out when issues arise. A small middle ground that has been established is that they'd return anything to a designated spot, and that they leave a small shell in place of the borrowed object.

Vollix, the Tutor

Vollix rarely ventures out of his settlement, too occupied by 'rahi bait' to have the time to. He trains other Augafi to survive in the jungle and is the barrier that sends those who are ready to more skilled tutors, and that keeps those who aren't ready back.

Hailing from Vezohi, he is an experienced warrior but lacks first-hand experience with the more recent developments of the jungle's adaptations.

Torso build isn't mine.

Kazex, Kumopak siege cannon

An oddity within the Kumopak, Kazex decided to use his massive strength to mount a pair of Cordak Railcannons to his hands, while he mounted a pair of kinetic impact launchers to his back, each with twin Kanoka launchers attached. While no marksman, he is accurate enough for others to admit that he has legitimate skill underneath all the Kumopak cluminess.

The Kumopak frame is by Bionic_ from Discord.

Sotaz, the Refined

Sotaz may strut around like a vohavoh peacock, but they are just as ruthless as any other Ihidauri. Seen as gentlemanly, they will not cheat, though they do not accept challenges that they can't lose either. Using a sword and a dagger, they are a skilled dualist; their personality makes them a skilled diplomat and judge of duels.

Makuta Odex

Never one for subtlety, Odex prefers to face Toa head-on. Out of all his powers, his bread and butter are power scream, poison, and accuracy by far. Though he can subject targets to poison through the spikes on his armour, he prefers to use his Illusory Flail. On top of all that, he uses his Kanohi Akkrah, the Mask of Blindness, to further knock opponents off balance.

Reconstructed Vahki Staves

Taken from the ruins of Metru Nui, these staves are brought back to full functionality. While they are required to connect to the arm of the wielder, a dial was added to regulate the power output. Levels one to three are for smaller beings, or those with weaker minds. Levels four through six are for larger beings or stronger wills, and seven to nine are for even larger beings or those with impressive will. Level ten, despite the name, amplifies the power by fifty, turning the staff into a lethal weapon for all but the strongest-willed. However, if the connecting cable is ever severed, the staff will become inoperable.

The staff of confusion just had to be different. >(

Cordak Rotary Cannon

Ditching the six barrels for two, this model can't be used by smaller beings, as even larger beings need two hands to control it.

Xian Scattershot

Taking inspiration from the Xian Boltgun, the Xian Scattershot shatters the crystal as it fires, sending a spread of crystal downrange.

Xian Boltgun

The Xian Boltgun shoots energized crystals that embed themselves in targets, then shatter. This leaves shards of crystal within the wound and shoots them in every direction, targeting allies and enemies alike.

Dehra, Toa of Sonics

A younger Toa, Dehra wasn't the most careful. They loved to rush ahead, using their Kanohi Malpouk to redirect attacks. They were mostly a duelist, relying on their elemental powers to handle fights that involved more than a few attackers. They truly believed that they were untouchable, too...

Kanohi Malpouk, Mask of Phantom Collisions
Can nudge or bump targets. The noble version only affects small movements, such as the moving of a forearm to miss a target/hit another target, the unintentional pull of a trigger, small stuff. The great version can cause more jerking movements, such as the swinging of an arm to hit another person nearby, starting a fight and/or injuring them. It can also cause wings to open or close, injuring the bearer when in enclosed spaces or causing them to fall when in midair, respectively.

Dehra, Turaga of Sonics

They wear the Noble Kanohi Akkrah, the Mask of Blindness. 'But Julia, that's an immoral mask power!' Yes, but their mask was damaged during their final fight as a Toa. As they were turning into a Turaga, they grabbed the Makuta's mask out of desperation. Luckily, despite their diminished elemental and mask power, they managed to incapacitate the Makuta and escape, but didn't find a proper replacement for a good while. By the time they did, they had grown somewhat attached to the mask, even if they had long vowed to only use it in the most dire of circumstances.

Jukri, Arrogance Personified

A fearsome Vokaru, Jukri is fueled by arrogance, though he argues that it's 'not arrogance if he can back it up'. While that is true, his Kanohi Turama, the mask of fear, is another tool in his arsenal alongside his protosteel greatsword and cordak cannon. He entertains every challenger, be it an acidfly, Botar, or Makuta Teridax himself. If he were to ever lose, he could claim that the other person cheated, never accepting loss. Unbeknownst to him, the Order of Mata Nui was planning on sending him to the Pit, only prevented by Teridax's reign over the Matoran universe.

Turaga Mohra

Imelos: It was the will of Mata Nui that we become Turaga. Until we can create more Matoran, they are limited in number, and they still need Toa to protect them.

Kodu: Mata Nui is gone, Imelos! He abandoned us!

Duita: He is still here; he is just allowing us freedom. We may not be within the Great Spirit Robot anymore, but we still have a destiny to fulfill.

Jao: Disappointed noises

Hiju: You willingly did it, Kodu; it's a little late to regret your choice!

Makai: Imelos is right; we need to think of the matoran now.

This is a couple hours shy of a full day, but I have work tomorrow and need to get to bed early-ish. Do not execute me. Or do, I'm not your mom.

Edit: Just realized that Hiju's staffhead is lacking the piece to bump it up. Pain.

Edit2: Never mind, it's just a very small piece. Double pain.

Toa Mohra, Post Spherus Magna migration!

Aside from the Thornax launchers they all got, Imelos got a second blade, forged from the detailing on her broadsword. Kodu got a mace made out of fuck-off big Thornax fruit, but the other four already had their hands full, so they didn't get anything new.

Swarm of the Bula Hordika

Mutated by the Visorak's venom, the Bula Bat Hordika, or Bula Hordika, are much more savage than their previously unmutated state. They are stronger, faster, and have developed bladed wings. They still prefer large, open caverns, but their enhanced energy sight gives them limited X-ray vision, and they are drawn to all sources of power like moths to a flame.

The background is supposed to represent Le-Metru under visorak occupation, but I'm not too great at cityscapes.

Taurika Sphere

Despite the deceptive name, the Taurika Sphere is a large, armadillo-esque creature that, when threatened, curls up into a sphere. It heats them up to levels that only Ta and Su-matoran can withstand, and tries to run them down. Due to their poor manoeuvrability, they are easily avoided on open fields. After the Bohrok attack, they were jokingly called "Tahnok spheres".

Inspired by the North American glyptodont.

Vucui's and Hulte's trip via Lava Camels

Lava Camels are, as the name implies, camel-esque rahi that can survive in and drink lava for sustenance. While they could be common mounts for matoran, the biggest issue is that they love taking lava baths, and matoran either need to hop off or hold them back if they're in the mood for one. They enjoy metallic protodermis as treats, and can easily eat matorans' tools if they aren't attentive enough. Despite this, they are extremely skittish, retreating into lava because very few species can follow them there.

As for the "art", this is them riding past a ravine. A ravine with lava at the bottom. Vucui is the Ta-matoran, while Hulte is the Su-matoran.

Veko's Cukapi encounter + karma

The Cukapi is something that no matoran ever wants to see. Vicious and extremely territorial, flocks can and will try to kill anything that enters their territory. Their one fear is fire, but they are a danger in the air, and on the water, but they do not do well in the cold. Due to their reputation of being 'as evil as the worst Makuta', even Toa of Fire and Ice tend to be wary around them, due to their unhinged fury being stronger than their aversion to fire or the effects that cold has on them. On land, they tend to reside in savannahs and plains, but can be seen anywhere temperatures aren't near extremes.

The idea for the images is that the first matoran, Veko, was on his way to a kolhii match, but was attacked by a Cukapi and will likely not get saved. The second image is Ahkmou experiencing karma. :)

The tan bits represent organic connective tissue, suggesting that muscle fibres have been torn apart.

Kuja and her Votaka Moose

The Votaka Moose is a rugged, semi-common work cattle that tends to live in colder regions. They can't generate heat on their own, but their antlers draw heat from the sun to keep them, and anyone in close proximity, warm. They can live in warmer climates, but hot climates overheat them, limiting their stamina. As a result, Matoran travelling through hot climates are encouraged to cover their antlers when they show signs of overheating, and remove them when they start to grow cold. While their antlers can heal and even regrow, given enough time, any damage to them will affect their ability to absorb heat. Unless a kind Matoran helps a Votaka Moose in this kind of trouble, they will eventually freeze to death.

They naturally travel in packs and are highly protective of their group members, regardless of species. They can be easily angered and can quickly kill a Matoran. As a result, the majority of Votaka Moose that you see accompanying those not of its kind were likely raised on farms and villages from a young age.

The idea for the pose is that a blizzard is raging and blowing right at them. And before you worry, no, Kuja isn't cold because her Votaka Moose is keeping her nice and warm.

Reposted because I can't edit images for some reason.
