Mosaic Baby Blanket

Hooked by Kari (Baby Highland Cow) with envelope border enhanced with a scalloped edge.

I’m actually addicted to Mossic crochet. Tho full transparency that I abhorred the envelope border and will only probably do it for baby sized.

I really tried giving knitting a go and was so much more successful this go round but mosaic is so fun! I can count rows, zone out, see progress.

I wanted the image to be a bit more subtle of a pop so did the grey as the cow.

Yarn was loops and thread delicate dk.

Tablet Variation

Has anyone ever heard of a variation of tablet that uses chocolate? I grew up thinking this was “normal fudge” but imagine my surprise when I had fudge for the first time.

Anyway one of my friends was making tablet and I couldn’t help but notice the similarities.

I’m an American mutt but a decent Scottish background. Did my grandmother bastardize Scottish Tablet or is it a real thing???

Milk/Sugar/Chocolate cooked to 238. Beat in milk and vanilla. It has the classic grainy (but never gritty unless you screw up) velvety texture.
