I'm a folk singer-songwriter with a mic and an audio interface. I can record and do the basics in a DAW, but I'd like to make decent demos of my songs on my own.

Recently I tried using Astra to help duplicate vocal tracks and set up different settings on each version. I could listen, compare, and choose what I liked. That was a real wow moment for me, and it got me thinking about building a small tool around this kind of help for other songwriters.

For those of you who write songs and are still learning to record and produce them: think of the last song you tried to turn into a demo. Where did you get stuck, if anywhere, and what did you try next?
