I’m thinking of buying this 2000 tundra, it has had the frame replaced from the recall and is solid there, but the only problem area is the driver side inner rock pictured. I’m wondering how bad you all think this is and what you think the cost to fix it at a mechanic would be. I’m thinking I could cut out the affected area and weld in some sheet metal but I’m far from an experienced welder. Maybe I should just walk away? Does anyone have experience with getting aftermarket panels or doing this type of welding work?
