Help me choose the best option between two flights
Which of these options would you choose for LAX-HKG in premium economy? Also, both of these are listed as 777-300 but the premium economy cabins look quite different. Is there an explanation for this?
Option one leaves an hour later than option two, meaning our layover at LAX before the flight is longer (I hate LAX) and we only have a 2 hour layover in HKG before the flight to our final destination. However this is the flight that still has two-seat rows available which we would prefer over the four-seat rows.
Option two leaves at a much more ideal time because we would only be waiting at LAX for 2 hours instead of 3, and we'd have more time in HKG to shower/grab something to eat before our flight to our final destination. But there aren't any two-seat rows left, so we'd have to book the four-seat row and hope no one is right next to us. However it would be nice to be in the back row so I don't feel bad for reclining.
Any advice you can offer would be appreciated as I'm feeling really torn! This is our first time flying Cathay Pacific and also our first time on premium economy, so we just want to make sure we're making the decision that will offer us the most pleasant experience possible. Also, if one of these layouts indicates that is a retrofitted plane that would be great to know. Thanks so much.
