Curiosity?

I am 5 weeks 2 days and I feel GREAT. As all pregnant women experience, I’m being riddled with the “just wait” and “oh it’s gunna hit you so hard”

So - am I naive? Or did some of you have an okay first trimester? Were you able to just coast for a bit? I’m definitely feeling tired more often and also needing to nap but no nausea or anything.

Would LOVE some open ended honesty!!! I’m so tired of the gloom and doom!!!!!

**EDIT: I have a wedding when I’ll be 8 weeks and I’m the MOH. Am I going to be fighting for my life? Lol

Help me decide!

Okay peeps. I need advice…

I JUST found out I’m pregnant - it’s super early (4 weeks).

One of my besties has a birthday coming up in a few weeks and we all go to the cottage and do a beer-olympics style shindig. Obviously, I can’t drink… and everyone will know because I literally can’t participate in any of the games…

Now for the hard part - the host has been on and off trying with her boyfriend for a while and is bummed nothing has come of it. She knew we were gunna start trying last month and sure enough, it worked.

We have a mutual friend who is also trying and told the host she wasn’t going to drink because they want to conceive. The host was complaining to me that “it’s just one weekend, why can’t she just have a good time”.

Ideally, I wouldn’t tell her that I’m pregnant just yet but now I’m feeling kinda forced into it because I either won’t go (and I feel I need to provide a reason) or if I go and don’t drink, she, and everyone else will know or try and guilt me into it.

Thoughts?!? HELP.
