Finished this vest for my mom last night. From an old Koho sweater.

*Before anyone gets upset with me* our family has a few of these blank Koho jerseys and this one wanted a new life. We are huge Avs fans and I just wanted to share some hard work. I’m pretty proud of how this turned out!

I used the puffer vest pattern from Sveta Dressmaker, the Koho sweater, a quilted silver fabric for the lining and some poly fil for the stuffing. My favorite details are the pockets and the little ties at the back collar.

Shipping it out to my mom today back home so she can wear it for round 3. Go avs!

Finished this Colorado Avalanche puffer vest from an old jersey for my mom last night

I made this puffer vest from and old Koho Avalanche jersey for my mom and finished it up last night. This is my 4th puffer vest, but I’m so happy with how it turned out. We are huge Avs fans.

Before anyone gets upset about the sweater we have multiple of these in my family and my mom wanted a new life for this one. I used Sveta Dressmaker’s puffer vest pattern, a quilted silver lining fabric I got from Joann’s 2 years ago (rip) and just some light poly-fil to add some puff. After cutting the pieces (which took a long time to plan) I would say I put around 10-12 hours into it.

Round 3 game one tonight! Go Avs!

After 2 years in my (unfinished projects) closet, my husband convinced me to finish this one before my next project started.

This is with Butterick B4669 pattern. I used some old cotton fabric for the outside and lined it with duck canvas which was also used for the binding.

There are definitely a lot of things I see wrong and want to fix, but wanted to share- it’s so pretty! It will be part of a renaissance faire outfit this year for me or one of my friends. I’m practicing getting better with stays/corestry and intend to make another with an altered pattern.
