Expecting my 2nd but no one can look after my toddler. How can my partner be with me when I give birth?

I’m 23 weeks pregnant with my second and my toddler is 21 months old. We have no village and have never spent a night away from him. Our only childcare is nursery 3 times a week. We also have 2 dogs. I can’t figure out any solution for anyone to look after my son when I’m giving birth unless it miraculously falls during the time he’s at nursery.

My partners mum is able to stay at our house to look after our dogs (she does this when we’re on holiday). But she is absolutely unable to take care of our toddler alone for multiple reasons. It’s not even a question. My mum could possibly do it but the likelihood is she will be on holiday when I’m giving birth or working (she can’t take emergency time off). And she wouldn’t answer her phone if we called her in the night to come over. She would also struggle massively to take care of him by herself. She has never done so before and with good reason.

So yeah, wtf do we do?

Fun fact: Uncle Vernon (Daniel Rigby) voices the Teletubbies

I realised this when I was watching the credits of an episode (watching with my son of course, I’m not a weirdo!)
