Does Law School Prestige matter?

So I’m about to start applying to Law Schools this upcoming cycle.
My goal is to get into the Federal Side. Get into politics, or maybe become a Supreme Court Judge.

As far as money wise goes, it would not be much of a problem since I have the Post 9/11 GI bill and can utilize other sources.

I would also be willing to move anywhere, where I’ll get accepted.

But my question is, does a Law School’s prestige and rank matter that much? Especially for my specific goals? Why or why not?

Would like to make Halal Friends

As-salamu alaykum

I’m looking for halal friends. Online or in person.
I am a newly reverted Muslim. 30 yr old male living in the greater Seattle area.

I would love to connect with other Muslims. It feels lonely to not come out to my Masjid and other Muslims I meet in person. But I’m out of the closet with everyone else.

Anyone else felt the same?

Hopefully I can connect with someone. Inshallah! 🙌🏼

Thinking about transferring out of TSP

Anyone transferred their funds out of TSP to Charles Schwab?

I’m transferring because I want to start Halal Investing. I noticed that TSP does not have any RIBA Free investing.
Unless I’m wrong.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated if you have experience with this.

Giving my Quran away

As-salamu alaikum brothers and sisters. New revert here.
I have a question. Should I gift my English Translation of the Quran to my friend?
I’m hesitant to gift him mine or any translation for that matter.
Reason being is because he likes to duct tape his covers of his books.
He currently has an English Translation of the Quran, but I feel like he could probably benefit from the one that I have. (The Clear Quran English Translation)
He’s very interested in reading the Quran, and he has been reading the version he has, but he is a bit confused when reading it.
For reference the one I have, the one I was thinking of giving him, was the one my Imam gave me when I first became interested in Islam.
I asked him straight up, if I give you another version of the Quran, would you not tape it?
He said, I will still tape the cover.
His reason is because “it preserves the cover, and I get to decorate the cover of the book, so I can make it mine.” (He’s an Artist, for reference. A good one too.)
Something about what he said didn’t really sit right. But also I feel like if I gift him my Quran, maybe one day he would revert.
After all, he is a book worm and he will finish reading the Quran.
What’s your thought on this? Should I gift him mine?
