PIP complaints and involving MP

Hi all so I received a letter back in August from DWP stating I was due a back payment due to a recalculation of dates, I was due this money on the 19th August, I have rang 3 times and each time I get absolutely nowhere, I keep getting put through to a case manager who says I will request for these funds to be released and that’s it, I’m not really a confrontational person and it takes me a lot to phone them in the first place due to anxiety, so I always take their word for it and hang up hoping that this time is the time, however I’ve still not received it. We are now in October. There’s obviously been a problem somewhere but I’ve not received any communication from them. I’ve wrote up a letter to formally complain because I feel like I can’t do it on the phone I’m too soft lol, I have read it is worth involving my MP is this something I should do to get the ball rolling faster? And with complaints how long after sending the letter will I hear something back?
Thank you

Pip arrears?

Hi all, slightly confused here, I was awarded pip in May, I applied back in September so was waiting quite a while, I was awarded enhanced and received a backpay of 2,836 which wasn’t the full amount I was expecting but as I hadn’t received the report I thought that was when decision was made and just accepted it. I have finally received the report today and it states I’m due another payment of £1,124 on the 19th August, just checked my accounts and nothing has been paid in, checked my gov one and no evidence of any extra payments on there, is this a typo or does it look likely that I am due this extra money?? They mention nothing about the backpay I received back in June in the letter. Should I contact them or wait? Thanks in advance

I got awarded!

I am honestly in shock, but I had a missed call from DWP today and a voicemail saying they would call me back but they didn’t, so I got curious and decided to check my Gov.one account and was very shocked to see I have been awarded enhanced for both and also an award until 2030. My claim was based off of having cancer treatment, but also mental health and PTSD that the cancer diagnosis and treatment have caused, I was expecting a much shorter award as I’m in counselling and taking medication etc so I don’t plan on it being long term, which makes me feel like a bit of a fraud, however I know I should be grateful after everything I’ve been through I know I deserve it but wow I was expecting a much lower award. I was also curious about award dates, I made the claim in October last year whilst I was on chemotherapy, but I have been awarded from February, even though I finished chemo in January, so that timing doesn’t make sense to me. Is there a reason why they wouldn’t back date me to the day I rang which was in October? Also is this statement 100% accurate as I haven’t received any texts or letters or anything, just the proof of benefits letter which i downloaded. Thanks in advance guys 🙂

Pip long wait

So this week is officially 32 weeks of waiting for my pip decision, just wondering if this is normal? I applied 30th September, I’ve had two small phone calls in the meantime just asking a few extra questions, my application is paper based due to being on cancer treatment, so no long assessment, I finally had my “your written report has been sent to a decision maker” text last week, but it seems like nobody ever waits this as long as this? (I was with capita) Wondering if it’s a good thing or bad thing? And if I am awarded will I be backdated to the date I started the claim? How long after receiving this text do people usually get a decision? Sorry for the questions I’m just getting a little impatient. Thank you in advance.
