How much will the updated books change the game?

I picked up all the soft cover books over the last year and only recently realized that there was a kick starter for the hardcover/updated books. Are the changes so drastic that all the supplements won't work well with the new rules?

Most finished set piece; The Quarry

Repost because of a photo upload error.

Needs another pass with dark washes for a bit more contrast but pretty happy to bring this to table tonight! I would rework the terrace sections a bit if I were doing this again to have them be more progressive like the top right section instead of just long flat sections.

Set is xps and spackle; scatter bridge is chip board. Planning on more scatter pieces in the way of mine carts, barrels and barricades when I have the time to.

WIP set piece for a mountain encounter; what would you want to see as a player?

Top right will be another 3 layer high terrace that meets the rockface to make a more imposing verticle. Im going to have a scatter bridge that goes from the lowest rock formation up to the 3rd tier as well to add some risk and options in pathing.

Much more texture and small rock details to sculpt yet as well as creating boundary rocks on the outsides.

What would excite you as a player to see on a set piece like this?

First batch of modular tiles

Learned a lot working with xps for the first time. Proxxon is on the equipment list to get straighter cuts on the tiles but overall happy to bring this to the table once I have more tiles to shake up encounters.

System fully locks together using chip board tabs. 3x3 configurations make it grid usable for whatever system though I've been enjoying the freedom of daggerheart.

Huge shout to RP Archive, Geordie Crafts and Wyloch's Armory on YouTube for extensive guides on approaching terrain.
