I’m in the Houston, Texas area. Yesterday, we were told to be at a meeting at 9:00 a.m. This morning, some of us made it on time, but there was a lot of confusion and commotion before I got there. People were panicking, saying things like, “What am I going to do? I’m going to lose my home. I’m going to be homeless.”

During the meeting, they disabled our mics and chat so we couldn’t communicate with each other. It became clear that the entire Peer Support team had been let go. We were told our positions had been eliminated.

We were informed we will receive 3 weeks of severance, and we are not expected to work for the next 2 weeks. Everything happened very suddenly, and everyone was in shock.
