I'm trying to set up midi automations for my patches to change scenes, but sometimes the QC doesn't seem to get the midi signal or it just freaks out at the wrong time. For some parts I'm doing pretty quick scene changes for whammy and stuff like that. Can the QC just not handle midi inputs that fast?

The way it's going now is not reliable for live shows.

How can I reliably get the QC to get midi inputs to change to whammy scenes and back quickly?

love the look and feel of the new Black Standard N2.8 Metal POWR:D, but some questionable design choices were made:

- why is the battery not easily accessible like earlier models? I need to unscrew the whole electronics cavity to change the battery

- why is the 'precision' tone (good for high gain) voice 2? aka tone knob pulled out. This is a guitar built for metal so this should be the default voice (https://support.strandbergguitars.com/article/333-get-to-know-the-strandberg-powr-d-by-fishman-pickups)

- Guitar came with plastic film on the pickups that was very difficult to get off with the stock strings. I don't want to have to take off the strings of my brand new guitar straight from the factory to get off a plastic film that clung for dear life to the pickups and wouldn't come off in one piece, so it's not even a satisfying peels like on a new screen.

Would love an explanation on what led them to make these choices for a high end guitar made for metal.

5 way switch is great tho and tuners are super easy to turn, so at least there's that.

I have a Strandberg Sarah Longfield signature 8 string Boden metal with fishman moderns and am having a hard time getting a good Tosin style thump tone. I've mostly been trying with split coil (volume pot pulled) and on middle pickup selector

I am using the Abasi Microagressor and a Quad Cortex.
