Update to HairVivi Wig Allergic Reaction

An update for those wondering what happened with my HairVivi wig (original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wigs/s/2hqDrJbwle).

I washed the wig three times with a clarifying shampoo, and the water ran brown upon rinsing each time. I was able to get the majority of the chemical smell out, but some lingered. I fully styled the wig and tried wearing it, but the lace seems to have gotten darker after washing—almost a yellow/orange tint. No matter how much powder, bronzer or foundation I use, I simply can’t get it to blend in with my forehead.

I refuse to wear a wig that has a discernible line, so unfortunately, I’m going to call this a complete loss.

On to the next, I guess. I’m currently looking at Milano, DejaCo, and Highline, though I’ve heard that Highline has some quality issues lately. Thoughts?

HairVivi Help: Reaction to Wig

I’m a new wig wearer, and I wanted to try out HairVivi since the plucked hairline looks so realistic and it’s more reasonably priced than some other high end wigs. I ordered the 18 inch Marie wig, and I absolutely loved the look when I put it on. (Pictured before lace was cut.) Well, fast forward an hour or so later, and my head was itching and on fire.

I washed the wig and my own hair immediately, and that helped. I noticed that the water ran brown and the wig had a strong chemical smell after washing it. I let it air dry, but this morning, I noticed it still smelled so I did another soak/wash.

Do you think that’s enough to make it safe to wear without another reaction? Has anyone else had this issue with HairVivi? Is this typical of all dyed human hair wigs, or did I just get a bad batch?
