Since the first one went pretty well, I had to try one more lol

After trying the 24” straight wig from LuvMe, I decided I wanted to try the All day curl hold wigs I’ve seen, I also wanted to see if there was any difference in quality, my 24” straight sheds pretty decently mainly around the hairline it seems because it already looks a little more sparse there 🥺 so wanted to see if that would be an issue with this as well. I’ve had this one now for about 2 weeks and have washed it which it did well didn’t have any issues no shedding during wash or dry (: I honestly feel the hair quality is def better than the straight one I have, more soft doesn’t tangle at all at least not yet only time I brush it is when I put it on and take it off❤️ everyone has told me it looks natural and then wig people I talk with have said hairline looks great which I agree what lace 😂it’s nice to know there is a quality wig out there that doesn’t break the bank! This is the 18” ombre brown and it was only 270$ now idk about anyone else but in my wig journey so far I’ve not found a HH wig that price that was this quality. For a budget find you can’t beat it IMO so far.

Help me find a topper for my mom!

My mom has struggled with post menopausal hair loss for a few years now and we have been SEARCHING so much especially her for something to give her confidence back. I posted pictures of her hair for reference. about 16 inches synthetic that is styled wavy, or human hair that can be styled to her wave pattern. Her hair is a very warm toned silver, some may pass it as platinum blonde. Most silvers are too cool and dark for her but she’s definitely not white. A wig will also work so long as it’s low density or it’ll get too hot. Wig length would be about 20 inches. She wants something with the most realistic hairline possible without being a lace front, just a normal wig or clip in hair topper. Minimal prep, she just wants to be able to throw it on.

Maximum budget: $80
Stores: Amazon, any brand name stores that accept PayPal and/or Mastercard and ship to a PO Box

Any questions or further details can be inquired about in the comments and any finds can be dm’ed to me! <3

Have you seen the selection on Depop?

*deleted and reposted due to incorrect flair*

My kids love to buy and sell clothes on Depop. On a whim, I took a look at the app and searched wigs. LOADS of them on there...some brand new at unbelievable prices. I'm going to order a few and will comment back with thoughts, but was wondering if anyone else has bought wigs on that app?

Closer to my bio hairs color and density… but able to behave in a way my hair could never!!

Now I finally get to experience having “good” hair! Who cares if I bought it! 😅

Does it look too much like a wig?

I got this from a local vendor but its not lace so I cant glue it down

They said its 100% human hair but it behaves kinda differently from my own curly hair that I used to have, so Im not sure

Does it look ok? Should I cut it back a little maybe?

Is the parting too obvious? Need advice

Hey, I tried this wig at a local wig shop a while ago and am willing to buy it eventually. I showed pics to a friend and she said the parting is too obvious? Is it really so obviously a wig? What do you think?

How to look for wigs that I can wear to work :/

I work in the food industry and everyone absolutely has to wear a hairnet, and the wig I want I can’t tell if it could be tied back or even fit in a hair net :(
(Wig in question: https://www.hisandher.com/products/hl-gabriela-1565 )
I am trying to get a cheap but not cheap human hair wig and take it to my stylist so they can color it/style it to my preference but I don’t have the money to buy something and it doesn’t work

Has anyone tried Wabbyhair wigs? All her photos looks so AI generated, the photos of herself AND the wigs looks generated.

Also her wigs goes for $20.000 USD, That’s way more than fx Bekawigs, and Bekas wigs are literally gourgeous.

Looking for help - first time wig wearer!

Hi hi! I've worn clip-in extensions and headbands for years to help manage my trichotillomania and I've finally made the switch to wigs. I'm hoping it'll be easier to get out the door and look a bit more polished / put together day to day.

It just bought my first wig - it's human hair, lace front and I've already washed and toned it slightly with purple shampoo to make it a bit closer to my actual hair color. I'm planning to go over it with a heated brush to add some shine and style. It's not fully dry yet, so please forgive any frizz in photos. Mostly focused on the below -

  1. Hairline- Any tips for making this look more realistic? I think I likely need quite a bit of plucking, but am hesitant just because it was expensive and that's irreversible
  2. The part- Should I be thinning it out more, or parting it differently? (same concern as above)
  3. Securing the tabs by my ears- The tabs are a bit short, so it seems like I'd need to glue them directly onto my natural hair underneath to keep them down? Is that a normal approach? Any tips on doing that well, or should I be using tape instead of glue, or some other method?

Total beginner here, so any advice (even the obvious stuff) is very very welcome. Thank you!!!

First topper that I actually love and wear in public!

I have wasted so much money on toppers. I have ordered synthetic from a woman who sells wigs out of her home. It looks okay but it's a little piggy because of the thickness, the permatease. I've ordered from Uni Wigs and Irresistible Me. The hair is fine but I don't like that netting look of the lace. You can see dots where the hairs are tied in. I tried to force my Irresistible Me wig to work since I spent $240 + $40 for a hair cut and then $50 to have it dyed by my stylist. Too dark. Just completely ruined. Plus none of them lay that flat on my head.

And then I found Kolala on Amazon. I got this human hair topper for $129 with coupon. No smell at all. I think it's the 14" one. I had my stylist cut it, but didn't need to dye it. This is the dark brown. So far, nobody can tell it's not my real bio hair. It lays so flat against my skull. It has more of a mono topper base and I like that. It doesn't show that criss-cross grid lace because I don't like it. I just pull out a little of my bio hair in the front.

I wear it down or in a clip. Out in the sun. I go everywhere and nobody knows. I finally have some confidence back and am learning not to feel self-conscious because nobody seems to know!

Is it just me seeing things here ? I'm not super extra picky but...

Is it just me thinking the photo on listing ad is the same color but looks longer and less tight of a curl?? I ordered the "Pure" brand on Poshmark but received an "I See" brand and seller insists it is the same exact one. I'm not entirely convinced, also zero explanation of the brand name difference.0_o (btw, I clearly suck at photo editing!) This here is another reason why I'd rather just buy a preloved unit from Luvme or someone well known. I guess it's good that the other 2 I ordered there somehow got lost and I guess the lesson is no impulse wig shopping late at night. :)

I’ve never loved a wig so much!

I’ve been wearing my new hair and I love it more with each wear! My husband keeps telling me how good it looks, and I’ve been finding ways to keep it comfortably in place without glue. So far, so good! Only problem: I want more wigs now 😅

New wig. Awkward part revealing hard front. 😭

I bought my first JB Extensions wig. I wore it to work once and received a bunch of compliments. Took it off that night and set it on my wig stand. I went to wear it today and ... 😰

I tried fiddling with the front a bit, but the hair won't cover that spot. It keeps returning to this state.

What can I do?

Hair perfume ruined my human hair wig..now it is stiff, tangled and matted. Can I save it?

I need some advice because this wig was originally really soft, silky and easy to manage. I dyed it when I first got it and it was still completely fine afterwards.

The problem started before a wedding. I wanted the hair to smell nice, so while putting it into foam rollers, I sprayed hair perfume directly onto each section before rolling it up. I definitely sprayed too much and too close to the hair. I thought it would be fine because it was specifically hair perfume, but ever since then the wig has been a mess.

It now gets stiff, tangles really easily and mats badly. I have tried a few hair masks, but they have not helped and I actually feel like some of them made it worse. At the moment I keep the hair in plaits because it mats so easily when it is left out.

It is supposed to be human hair, so I am wondering if the perfume caused some kind of build-up or if I have actually damaged the hair.

What would you try? Clarifying shampoo? Silicone Mix? Another mask? A natural hair treatment? Or does it need trimming?
I will attach before and after pictures even though the photos don’t depict how dry it is. Please help me save her 😭

New wig and unsure about the brand or quality

Hei, I don't know if this type of post is allowed here but I have come upon this wig and I'm unsure of its quality, I'm wondering if anyone can provide any information or insight into it based on my pictures? Thanks in advance!

Bought a wig for an old Hollywood look, but it's giving Toddlers in Tiaras.. help.

Hey everyone. I've just recently gotten into wigs due to hair loss from an illness, so I've been researching what I could and went to a wig shop to speak with some people there about some basic info.

The ones I got at the wig shop are more casual, but I ordered the Vintage Rider unit from Sensationnel since it has an old Hollywood look based on the picture and reviews. Unfortunately, it's looking too big and almost like pageant hair for me.

Is there a way to smooth it out a little? I was debating spraying it with water or using a steamer while combing it, but I wasn't sure if that would work out well... Any input would be great pls.

edit: I'm gonna try to send a link since my photos won't attach...

I need to secure my wig down by my ears but no tape or glue

I wear a 13x6 “glueless” lacefront wig but its not actually glueless. I need to secure it down by my ears because when i walk the wind kinda blows it back.
I do remove my wig every night.
The glue is too messy for me & i worry the tape wont work because i only need it for the day.
I have adhd and autism so im hoping for some recommendations that are simple to follow and easy to do in the morning without adding too much extra to my routine. Thanks!
