2.7 vs 3.5 EcoBoost (2026 XLT)

Currently in the market for a new XLT and wanting opinions on the 2.7L vs 3.5L EcoBoost engine. Previous truck was a 2017 XLT 2.7L and worked great until it didn’t. Truck will be driven around 15k miles per year for work.

Worth it to take the leap on the 3.5?

I have a 24 Lariat 5.0L so not interested in opinions on that.

Thanks!

Edit: I own a 28’ travel trailer 5800 dry weight that is currently towed by my lariat 5.0. Would like to be able to tow it with the new truck as well.

I should’ve mentioned, this is also a work truck. It’ll be pulling trailers, hauling materials, etc. It won’t just be used to haul a trailer out a few times a year.
