Looking for a summer day off day trip to explore the Okanagan more. Do you think it be more worthwhile to go north and explore Vernon? Or south and go to Penticton...anyone have experience or fav things about these two towns? Also, whats the best way to get there without a car. Thanks!

With Pride coming up, what's the scene in Kelowna? Like are there events or things to get involved with the community that maybe aren't super party party? I would like to get more involved with the local queer community and don't know where to start as I am now post-grad.
