Where are you, roomie? | Pasig/Marikina/Eastwood/Katipunan/Cainta

I’ve been living here for 5+ years, and I’ve been working from home throughout that entire time.

I’ll be starting a new job soon, and it’s an on-site one, Monday-to-Friday setup. So I thought that, to help cut costs, I could offer my place to a female roommate po who can move-in ASAP.

🏠 Rent: ₱5,000
Terms to move in: 1 month advance and 2 months refundable deposit, payable 1 week before move-in date.

The unit is already fully furnished

  • TV (with HB0, Pr!me and YT Prem!um)
  • Air conditioner
  • Air purifier
  • 2-level water filter
  • Vacuum for the floor and ceiling
  • CCTV (1 sa sala, 1 sa bedroom)
  • Induction stove
  • Mini refrigerator
  • Air fryer
  • Microwave
  • Electric kettle
  • Basic cooking items and utensils
  • Washing machine and hangers
  • Furnitures
  • Fan (1 sa sala, 1 sa bedroom)
  • All windows have proper curtains (not blackout)

Major red flags
🚩 Magkaka-fur yung clothes mo dahil sa cats ko. Lint remover will be provided. Sorry na po agad.
🚩 I am very particular when it comes to what I put inside the house. As you can probably tell, I don’t have a lot of decorations to avoid clutter. 😂 Siguro, my books are the only exception? Everything else here is pretty much functional, so I’d really appreciate it if we can keep the place this way and avoid adding unnecessary stuff. 😊

For reference, these are the usual monthly bills
🌐 Internet: ₱1,500
⚡ Meralco: around ₱2,300 if the AC is on for about 10 hours nightly (around ₱4,500 if 16 hours daily)
💧 Water: around ₱300
💲 Total estimated monthly cost: ₱4,100

Some perks
➕ Monday to Friday, I’m at work from around 6 AM to 5 PM, so you’ll pretty much have the place to yourself during those hours (altho WFH ako for the whole of August).
➕ Saturdays and Sundays, I’m usually out (gym, hiking, or spending time with family and friends).
➕ I have a large standing desk and ergonomic office chair you’re welcome to use if you work from home. Kung hindi mo kailangan, I'll sell it to make space for us.
➕ I have two cats. They’re my responsibility, so I hope you are comfortable living with cats. They’re very sweet, clean, vaccinated and litter-trained.
➕ Occasional free food from parents/sibs -- sobrang hilig nila magluto so mambuburaot lang tayo sa kanila.
➕ I am very open to suggestions on how we can rearrange the space para mas ma-accommodate kita.

Your space
🎯 1st option: divide the bedroom and bring your own bed (single or full double in size). You’re welcome to share my queen-size bed temporarily kung wala ka pang sarili.
🎯 2nd option: save up for a bunkbed and buy on our 2nd/3rd month. I'll shoulder the cost.

Location and about the place
📍 I can only give the barangay address and not the exact location -- this is for my safety po.
- One tricycle ride from LRT-2 Santolan Station and one bangka away from Eastwood.
- Walking distance to a talipapa and supermarkets
- Flood-free
- Around 30–40 sqm
- Bathroom with shower
- Laundry area with space to hang clothes
- Quiet building
- No parking space for motorcycle or car but there's a place you can rent for parking (P3,000 monthly ata yun)
- A very residential street with lots of plants, so it has a peaceful, homey vibe

About me
29-year-old straight female
Single
Licensed
Sa Makati ang work na dayshift

If you’re interested, send me a message with a short intro about yourself.

You’re also welcome to drop by and check out the apartment first before deciding. No pressure. 🙂

PS: This is a repost. Medyo naging cluttered yung previous post ko so I had to delete.

I sometimes sleep on the sofa while the TV is on. So meaning, may times na ikaw lang sa kwarto.

Notice the sofa? Sira na 'yung sa gilid dahil sa cats 🥹

The storage both sa taas ng sink and baba will be shared. I'll make sure you have space for your stuff too.

I only have few items here and obviously will make space for you here too.

The workspace (standing desk and office chair) will be sold kung di mo naman gagamitin. If you don't have your own closet, I can lend you that tall 6-tier storage. Puro mga small items lang naman laman niyan ngayon na pwede kong i-transfer sa cabinet ko. I also have 2 storage boxes na pwede mong paglagyan ng random stuff mo habang wala ka pang lalagyan. The bed once unfolded is a queen size bed, so we can share that too if wala ka pang sariling bed. Wag ka lang sana malakas humilik? In which case, I can sleep sa sofa but expect na naka-on ang TV hahahha

My cats -- Ming (siamese, female) and Ding (puspin, male). They're very nosy and clingy. Ming would ignore your food but Ding would like a sniff for sure. For some reason, laging inaamoy ni Ding yung pwet ni Ming. Hahahahah TMI.

These are not set in stone, pwedeng-pwede natin baguhin depende sa trip natin sa buhay.

All for brainstroming and again, depende sa trip natin.

Roommate hunting | Pasig/Marikina/Eastwood/Katipunan/Cainta

Looking for a roommate! 👀

Now that I’m reporting back onsite for work, sayang naman if ako lang mag-isa nagbabayad ng apartment, so I’m checking if anyone’s interested in sharing the place.

Honestly, I haven’t decided yet how much would be fair for this setup, so instead, tell me how much you’d be willing to pay after reading everything below (prolly starting is ₱5,500 monthly rent excluding utilities depende sa dami ng gamit mo???).

The unit is already fully furnished:
TV (with HBO, Prime and YT Premium)
Air conditioner
Air purifier
2-level water filter
CCTV (1 sa sala, 1 sa bedroom)
Induction stove
Mini refrigerator
Air fryer
Microwave
Electric kettle
Washing machine
Furnitures
Fan (1 sa sala, 1 sa bedroom)
All windows have proper curtains (not blackout)

MAJOR RED FLAG
🚩 Magkaka-fur yung clothes mo dahil sa cats ko. Lint remover will be provided. Sorry na agad 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️
🚩 As the main renter, assume that I'd be like Sheldon Cooper when it comes to rules.
🚩 Maarte ako sa kung ano ang inilalagay ko sa bahay. As you can observe, walang masyadong decorations ang bahay ko because I don’t like clutter. Siguro, yung mga books ko lang ang nag-iisang clutter dito. Everything else is functional. Let’s keep it this way.

For reference, these are the usual monthly bills:
🏠 Rent: ₱9,000
🌐 Internet: ₱1,500
⚡ Meralco: around ₱2,300 if the AC is on for about 10 hours nightly (around ₱4,500 if 16 hours daily)
💧 Water: around ₱300
💲 Total estimated monthly cost: ₱13,100

Terms to move in (same lang ng terms sa akin ng landlady ko): 1 month advance and 2 months deposit, payable 1 week before move-in date (I could use it to pay for the divider probably).

Some perks:
➕ Monday to Friday, I’m at work from around 6 AM to 5 PM, so you’ll pretty much have the place to yourself during those hours (altho WFH ako for the whole of August).
➕ Saturdays, I’m usually out (gym, hiking, or spending time with family and friends).
➕ Sundays lang ako siguro nasa apartment 24/7 or baka nasa parentals ako.
➕ I have a large standing desk and ergonomic office chair you’re welcome to use if you work from home.
➕ I have two cats. They’re my responsibility, so I hope you are comfortable living with cats. They’re very sweet and clean and vaccinated.
➕ Occasional free food from parents -- sobrang hilig nila magluto so mambuburaot lang tayo sa kanila.

🎯 2nd option: save up for a bunkbed and buy on our 2nd/3rd month. I'll shoulder the cost.
🎯 3rd option: ako sa kwarto, ikaw sa sala. I'll move the TV and sofa sa kwarto to make space for you. Bring your own bed (single or full double in size)

Location and about the place:
📍 I can only give the barangay address and not the exact location -- this is for my safety po.
- One tricycle ride from LRT-2 Santolan Station and one bangka away from Eastwood.
- Walking distance to a talipapa and supermarkets
- Flood-free
- Around 30–40 sqm
- Bathroom with shower (we will not use timba here, dagdag linisan lang so dapat okay ka sa ganitong set up)
- Laundry area with space to hang clothes
- Quiet building
- No parking space for motorcycle or car but there's a place you can rent for parking (P3,000 monthly ata yun)
- A very residential street with lots of plants, so it has a peaceful, homey vibe

I’m a 29-year-old straight female, looking for A FEMALE ROOMIE OR ANYONE NA GIRL-AT-HEART who’s clean, respectful, easy to live with AND who can move in as early possible.

If you’re interested, send me a message with a short intro about yourself. You’re also welcome to drop by and check out the apartment first before deciding. No pressure. 🙂

Noob question incoming… 😅 Lahat ba ng bundok, malimatik na ngayong tag-ulan? O minimal to wala namang limatik kapag open trail?

I want to know para makapili ako ng bundok para sa mga kasamahan kong first-time hiker and I am concerned na baka kapag maraming limatik ‘yung mapili ko eh ma-discourage na sila mga future hikes namin.

⛰️ Mt. 387 — tanda ko na hindi ‘to open trail so I am thinking na mas prevalent ‘yung limatik.

⛰️ Mt. Kapigpiglatan or ⛰️ Mt. Batulao — alam ko na open trail mostly ‘tong dalawa so baka safer ‘to ngayong tag-ulan?

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Can’t find any orga for Tenglawan this weekend

Hi fellow hikers 👋,

May mare-recommend po ba kayo na organizers for Mount Tenglawan dayhike either for May 30 or May 31?

I looked up sa Akyat Bundok Facebook and meron lang dun eh for May 26.

Wala rin sa TakeFive, Fake Mountaineers at Carpe Diem.

Thank you in advance po 🙇‍♀️
