Comprehensive comparison for peeps deciding between LNMIIT , MIT moneypal , TIET Patiala
so i was in the crossroads of choosing these 3 colleges through JEE Mains and here were my points of comparison
note : no college is going to be put down , only fact and real info ko consider kiya jayega
There are gonna be different points of comparison , broadly classified into 6 categories , namely - PLACEMENTS , PEER GROUP , FEES , INFRASTRUCTURE and CAMPUS LIFE , BRAND ALUMNI with MASTERs admits , BATCH SIZE
---------------------------------------------
1. PLACEMENTS (all from official website)
This is the main factor for most students in BTech to get a good job after undergrad so breaking the ice i will list both the overall median and avg and CSE median and avg of each college from their given data official websites only
(a)LNMIIT
Overall - 13.14 avg and 12 median
CSE(core)- 13.65 avg and 12.65 median
(b) MIT Manipal
Overall - 12.5 avg and 10.5 median
CSE(core) - 14.72 avg and 12.77 median
(c) TIET Patitala
Overall - 12.01 avg and 10.00 median
CSE(called as COPC)- 14.00 avg and 12.5 median (vercel scourging)
Pure placements wise its clearly LNMIIT greater than MIT Manipal and TIET Patiala but the caveat is when we check only CSE placements where the clear differentiator in median is MIT Manipal so for pure placements wise in CSE and CSE only it is
MIT Manipal > LNMIIT > TIET Patiala
---------------------------------------------
2. PEER GROUP
Let us analyze 2 aspects ok , JEE Mains cutoff and coding culture hackathons etc.
im talking strictly about CSE
Peer group and coding culture hackathons etc its an easy choice which many people know - LNMIIT has the best peer group with jee mains cutoff for Core CSE being 98.1%ile and insane coding culture which it is highly regarded on , next comes MIT Manipal with CSE cutoff being 97.4%ile and it to has good performances in hackathons and a decent coding culture , Thapar being the least because of 50% reservation for Punjab State and on top of that 32.5 % reservation for SC/ST candidates , not that it is a bad thing it just reduced the overall quality of the students , JEE Mains cutoff is 96.58 %ile for GENO and 93.2%ile for GENP so its decent and coding culture is slightly better than MIT Manipal. So overall
LNMIIT > MIT Manipal > TIET Patiala
---------------------------------------------
3. FEES
just ranking based on which has lesser fees for CSE core + hostel
LNMIIT- 4.5 Lakhs , MIT Manipal - 7.5 Lakhs , TIET Patiala - 6.1 Lakhs (all with cheapest hostels)
MIT Moneypal literally loots the avg middle class guy
so LNMIIT > Thapar > MIT Moneypal :)
---------------------------------------------
4. INFRASTUCTURE and CAMPUS LIFE
im gonna expand upon each of the colleges here
LNMIIT- LNMIIT has very good infra for the fees it takes , though its a small campus its college
life is very much enjoyable yet and has excellent research facilities
Thapar- One of the BEST college lives in entire north india and has excellent labs + reserach
facilities i can assure you , you will not regret the college life here
MIT Manipal- The best college life in india and you cant compare it with any colleges (maybe
bits goa) THIS BOTH A GOOD AND BAD THING so CHOOSE WISELY , research
infra wise its similar to the other 2 i.e ; excellent
so MIT Manipal > Thapar > LNMIIT
---------------------------------------------
5. BRAND , ALUMNI NETWORK and MASTERS ADMITS
from what i could gather the brand and alumni network of MIT Manipal is unparalleled and unmatched comparing thapar and LNMIIT . On the perspective of Masters admits' also it has a an edge of course due to the alumni network.
Next in line comes thapar which is also a legacy institution with many of its alumni in top positions in almost all companies in the world and excellent support for masters admits
I have put LNMIIT last because well its a comparitively newer institute compared to these 2 so the alumni havent bloomed yet and the brand is still in the developing stages , though it has excellent masters admits
so MIT Moneypal > TIET Patials >> LNMIIT
---------------------------------------------
6. BATCH SIZE (which influences placements)
its LNMIIT > MIT Manipal=TIET
intake of LNM is low and very commendable while these 2 big shots keep increasing intake for their greedy asses lol but yeah they too have somewhat steadied down
>CONCLUSION
ALL the colleges listed here are very similar in the way they operate especially for CSE related branches and their placements are also very similar so i would advice you guys to choose it with your discretion
If fees is your concern LNMIIT is the clear way and im sure its similar to these 2
I have listed out all the categories you guys needed to choose the ideal college ,
all doubts are welcomed
