I took apart and cleaned my E61 group head yesterday because I was getting very little water flow (pressure was fine). Descaled everything and unfortunately did not pay enough attention, because on reassembly I noticed that the two springs are almost, but not quite, the same.

I have a harder spring and a softer one made out of thinner material. The diameter is the same.

I put the stronger spring in the bottom (blow-off?) assembly, and the softer one on top. Is that correct?

I have a drawing of the whole setup but the springs only have a number and I cannot tell which goes where. Any help is appreciated.
