Environment Canada has issued an orange alert due to extreme heat for parts of the Southeast Public Health region (which includes Kingston).
The extreme heat is expected to last until Friday, July 3, and possibly into Saturday, July 4, with forecasted temperatures that may reach as high as 36°C.
This is not in my wheelhouse so I am hoping to find someone who is able and willing to reconnect my home devices. They just dropped connection over the years and I lived with it, but it would be nice to have them connected again. Individuals only, not looking for an IT company, for reasons I will not discuss in public. So please do not recommend a company.

Are there any walk in clinics open in the evenings in Whitby? Or are they all daytime hours only?

Does anyone here offer gardening services or have experience gardening? I am looking for someone to assist me with both the physical labour of installing a garden (soil, nutrients, plants) and choosing plants that are local to Kingston.
The garden is a very very small front yard in downtown Kingston, so there is a challenge for such a small space but I know it can be done!
I have a car and willing to drive us both to the garden nurseries.

With a few announcements in this subreddit from people who have thrown their hat into the ring to run for Mayor, I am curious who people would like to see run for Mayor? And would you vote for them, and why?
Personally, I think Tozzo would win, by a landslide, but I'm not sure if he's ready for Mayor this term.... he has young kids, and a career that I think he enjoys... I'm hoping as his children get a bit older and he's maybe ready to hang up his other hat that he will consider. I would absolutely vote for him.
And to those who have announced your intention to run, thank you, genuinely - even if I don't vote for you, even if I disagree with your platform, it's very important we have choice and you doing your part makes democracy happen.

Our 2018 sump pump gave up the ghost. Backup is holding for now but the main needs replaced asap.
