Found a stocked Prepper Cache for the first time since Signal Void was released in 2023… it’s so much better than it used to be!! (Voyager, Day 276)

After 4 years of playing this save on and off, checking 5/9 bunkers across Great Bear, and not being able to move forward with Sutherland’s Tale… I finally found it!!! The amount of items inside was insane; I walked out of there with like 40kg on my back… Now my recipe collection is complete, I can finally hand over those documents to Sutherland, and I can start preparing to find the last 4 bunkers!!

Wolf near Quonset still charged at me after a warning shot; thankfully I hit the double tap, but it definitely caught me off guard… (Voyager, Day 253)

This is why I’ve never liked Quonset Garage as my main base… too many damn wolves, even on voyager…

Safehouse Customization guide: How to create a bookshelf on PS5/Xbox/Switch…

I made a post yesterday celebrating 250 days and got some comments that made me realize a lot of console players still don’t know about some of the safehouse customization tricks… I know this has been covered before, but I have never seen someone actually show how to make a proper bookshelf with the “new” furniture you’re able to build with the woodworking tools.

  1. You need the exact shelf I am using in this clip; it doesn’t have a specific name, but there are only a few shelves you can take back to your base and they aren’t difficult to find inside houses/cabins in most regions…

  2. Make sure there is a wall behind the piece of furniture you’re trying to place the book onto. Try to remove other furniture/wall items in the way to make it easier to place.

  3. If you want the spine of the book facing you, place the book to the far right corner and as far off of the shelf edge as possible (like how I do in the clip). If you want the fore edge of the book facing you, place it on the opposite side of the shelf. If you want to lean a book either way, place it more in the middle edge of the shelf and slightly tilt it until it looks right.

  4. Once placed in the position you want, simply click on the shelf and take it, leaving the book where you placed it.

It’s all fairly simple, you just need some time and patience and you’ll be able to place all of those books you’ve been hoarding without any mods at all… Good luck!!

Halfway to 500 days!! After getting my hands on some woodworking tools, Camp Office is starting to feel like home… (Voyager, Day 250)

I have really come to love Voyager… after the constant struggle of Interloper, it’s such a different game… The Long Dark has become one of the only places I find solace in, and I am so thankful for that… looking forward to another 250 days; stay safe out there!!

Made it to the Weather Station for the first time… (Voyager, Day 227)

After starting up an old voyager save to do the tales about a year ago, I’ve finally made it to the Weather Station on my first blind trip to Sundered Pass… All I have to say is this region is absolutely stunning; I was aware it was going to be the coldest region and that there were giant packs of timberwolves, but I went in as blind as I could… Genuinely in awe of the sheer verticality of it all, and the views were so beautiful.(when there wasn’t a blizzard that is…) Definitely worth the wait, I can’t wait to go back and finish the tale;
I have never been so thankful for my crampons hahah…

Finally reached Level 5 Archery after 5 years… (Voyager, Day 225)

Long story short I’ve been playing this save since 2021… it was the save I made after dying for the first time in the game after 80+ days or so; I played it for a while, but eventually moved onto interloper and didn’t touch it… around 2025 and 75 days in I went back to this save to start the tales without any guides or the pressures of interloper on my neck and have been playing it on and off as my main save ever since… Reaching level 5 in Archery wasn’t some goal I even set out to achieve, just happened completely naturally on my way to start the final tale in Sundered Pass… just felt like something to celebrate after how much I’ve been through in my real life since starting this save in 2021… thanks for reading and stay safe out there!!

So I’m usually the raider who is running as a dedicated medic, but since I have such limited time to play this week I’ve just been working on the expedition requirements and joining as many Queen/Matriarch events as possible. I first heard him the other night running towards a raider who just went down; I had just arrived to the battle and was thankful there was at least one medic around while I focused on damage. After placing a few deadlines and getting taken out by the vaporizer, he wasted no time making his way over to me, and then any other raider who went down the rest of the raid. When all was said and done he pulled out the six string, sang a little blues tune, and I thanked him for his service before hitting the hatch. Next night, same time, same raid, a few deadlines placed and me on the ground… there he was again. As someone who also dedicates most of their time to rescuing other raiders, I decided to ask him some questions this time. He said he has around 750 revives…As a Rescue Raider myself with only 300 revives, that number is genuinely impressive so shout out to the legendary blues singing medic BigDaddySix; if you see him Topside give him a salute for me o7
