So I believe I’m being scammed. Parked in a lot to go shopping, I’ll admit not between the lines. Was supposed to be a 2 minute in and out. There was multiple empty spots, but when I came back out to my car, someone had driven their car into mine. Both driver doors were touching each other. Called the police to report and then the owner comes out of another store, acting “surprised” that I hit their car..

Cops came, we exchanged insurance info, and now are at the whims of the insurance companies.

Is there any professional in town that has experience in this type of issue? Is there anything I can do to prove I’m not at fault?

I need to move some tool carts and would prefer to not have to unload them. Anyone know if there are any companies that rent out trucks with lift gates in town?
