MyYearMovie — turning 365 days of real life into one book and one movie 🕶️

Building an AI Director that remembers people, events and storylines throughout your year — then turns them into a personal book and cinematic short film.
365 days. One book. One movie. Your life.

Building an AI app that turns one year of your life into a book and a movie

I’m working on a startup idea called MyYearMovie.
The core idea is simple:
For 365 days, an AI Director follows your life, remembers the important people and events, and turns your year into a personal book and a short movie.
The user can speak or type.
The AI should remember:
people and relationships
important events
changes in your life
unfinished stories
recurring themes
personal turning points
So if you mention someone in January, something happens with them in May, and they appear again in October, the AI understands that this is one continuing storyline.
At the end of the year, the user gets:
📖 A personal book about their year
🎬 A cinematic short movie based on their real life
Users could upload photos of important people as visual references. If they don’t want to upload photos, they could describe the person and the AI would create a consistent visual character for the movie.
For the MVP, I want to start much smaller:
voice/text entries → AI memory → character tracking → monthly story recaps → short cinematic trailer
I don’t think the main innovation is AI video generation.
The main product is the combination of:
AI memory + personal storytelling + real life + generative media
I’m currently looking for:
a technical co-founder
AI / LLM / memory-system developers
mobile app developers
people experienced with generative video
early-stage angel investors interested in consumer AI
I’d also really appreciate honest feedback.
Would you use something like this for a full year?
And what would be the biggest reason you would stop using it?
If you’re interested in building, investing, or discussing the idea, feel free to DM me.

What if you could watch a movie about the year you just lived?

I’m exploring a startup idea called MyYearMovie.
The premise is:
365 days. One book. One movie. Your life.
Instead of another journaling app, I want to build an AI Director you can talk to throughout the year.
You speak or type whenever you want. The AI remembers the important people, relationships, events, goals and unfinished stories in your life.
So if you mention someone in January, something happens between you in May, and that person appears again in October, the system understands that it’s one continuing storyline.
Over time it builds:
• characters and relationships
• important events
• story arcs
• turning points
• recurring themes
• memories worth keeping
At the end of the year, it creates a personal book and a cinematic short movie based on your real life.
For an MVP, I’d keep it much simpler:
voice entries → AI memory → character tracking → monthly story recaps → short cinematic trailer.
I think the real product isn’t AI video generation.
It’s:
AI memory + storytelling + real life + generative cinema.
I’m at the early concept/MVP stage and I’d love brutally honest feedback.
Would you actually use this for a year?
What would make you stop using it after two weeks?
And what feature would make you think: “Okay, I actually want this”?
I’m also interested in meeting technical co-founders or people working in AI memory, mobile apps or generative video.
Roast away. 😈
